I agree. While I would love if he's a LI, if he isn't, I hope we can reunite him with his old flame, at least. 
As far as Bianca's status as dead or alive, I believe it was left as ambiguous. I don't have a link to the direct quote, but I've seen a lot of folks claim that Mary Kirby (Varric's writer) has said in the past that Bianca's story may not be done/over. Or at least state that she may not be dead.
So, we shall see.

In Origins it didnt sit well with me playing a Dwarf an if i was interested in a romance the romance options that where on offer, hopefully this is remedied in DA:I, as far as im aware we dont know the story of Varric n Bianca im not sure though so hopefully its expanded upon maybe in DA:I

As far as I know Bianca isn't dead , she wanted to leave all the dwarven guild shenanigans behind and somewhere along the way Varric backpedaled, and dumped her to get back to his brother.

I don't. I liked Bianca better when she was just a crossbow. I'm really sick of the long lost love/I must pine away forever for some person who may or may not be dead story line.

Maybe it's selfish, but I don't want too much of the stuff from the books/comics bleeding into the game. It was bad enough in ME3 IMO.
