I doubt that they're worth downloading and starting a playthrough JUST to see them, but they're definitely an improvement over the original endings.

I finished the Extended Cut ending. It's definitely an improvement, though not perfect but at this point I'm ready to Let It Go

The ending didnt really faze me much . I enjoyed the journey . I never bothered getting the Extended Cut

This is the only MP I have played so I can't compare it to other MPs but it has been a lot of fun . The only issue for me is lag or latency or whatever as I pug 95% of the time .Some games are frustrating and I feel I am limited in which kits I can play .

I think that is just part of the game for most people because of the international player base and I am not even sure if there is a way to fix this. Maybe an option to choose games in a particular region would work .

I guess I could host more but then I have to put up with the in game whinging which is worse than putting up with lag.

Nothing you say or try to spin will ever change the fact that, in the end.. all those choices we made through the games had no value on the end result and we were led to believe they would. This is my gripe.. and that the ending was over-simplified with stupid starchild being the answer to everything. That's as bad as the ending of Contact for f0ck's sake.

The series deserved a knockdown, drag out space battle with a pivotal ground battle ala Return of the Jedi. We got.. a holographic little boy that took all the dimension, depth and substance of the Mass Effect trilogy.. then swept it under the rug to be forgotten. It really was some weak chit.

The choices you made felt themselves in the game itself, it's not necessary to reflect ALL of them in the damned ending:

- Wheter you kill Wrex or not --> Having that idiotic Wreav around in ME2/3.

- Saving Maelon's data --> Eve surviving / Wrex/Wreav having a different attitude towards Shepard.

- Saving the rachni queen or not --> Having the Breeder (not the best choice to fill a plot hole, but oh well...).

- Saving Kaidan/Ashley --> Having either of them as a companion in ME3.

- Saving X companions in the Collector base --> Having them in ME3.

- Doing certain loyalty missions in ME2 --> Companions surviving in ME3.

..etc, etc.

If anything, the biggest useless decision I've seen by far is saving or not the Collector base...I mean, I sincerely thought there would be a major breakthought between saving it or not (maybe particularly in the Cerberus faction?), but I think there's absolutely nothing aside from some dialogue lines and a slightly different War Asset after assaulting the Cerberus base. But only for that one I'm not retarded enough to say that "in the entire trilogy, none of the decisions mattered".

It's due to cheap criticism like these ones that all the game devs have as a general norm not to visit their games' own forums. And the sad part is that they're right.

Is there a yawn emoticon? No? :-O Please take the discussions about the endings over to the little Mass Effect 3 sub-forum called 'Story' where I'm sure everything has been well and truly hashed out in depth for the past two years.

OP, I agree! Mass Effect is a brilliant game. I had not touched any multiplayer before this. I probably still won't touch any other multiplayer (except ME4 if there's one), but I've had a damn load of fun and met some great friends.

Don't worry, you're not losing much. A bunch of pics of your companions in the end. Big deal.

Sure, they're better than the vanilla ending, but they don't change the shitty shitty core of it.

No doubt its a great game - I thought the multiplayer would be a gimmic that would quickly get boring, but it turned out to be the saving grace of ME3. I must say I even enjoyed the single player after playing through it a second time.

The funny thing is that the site won't let me hide one of the two posts. It's like if it wants to underline the concept... XD

Then send a PM. Otherwise this is a public forum, and messages can be seen and replied by everyone.

But again, that very reply already shows your IQ level.

Sure, I have no problem with you seeing it and replying to it.

And since you didn't use a PM to reply to that very post, I guess you shouldn't have a problem with me replying publicly that you're a dumbarse, either.

The original ending wasn't fine, and I don't mind admitting that. But the EC fixed them. Now they're all decent. So stop that bad joke. Seriously.

It wasn't just the ending by any means but that capped it off.  As for the 'they fixed it' well you can go back in time and fix it for your 3rd or 4th replay but you can't erase the bad feeling you got at the end of ME3 any more than you can erase the absolutely terrific first time you beat ME1.

After all the hours in MP, I hardly remember what it was like to play ME1, ME2 or ME3 SP, other than the Citadel DLC I suppose.

I just somehow question the ability of the artists that allowed that piece of dog **** ending to be released anyways. And I wasn't even that upset about the absurdity of the ending but about the reaction of Shepard at the end. The extended cut fixed a lot of things but it never should have gotten to that point. It was a cheap, contrived ending.

As bad as it was I found the reaction of Casey Hudson to be very  entertaining. We went from puffing out his chest claiming "artistic integrity" and claiming all these fantastic reviews to him eventually waffling and EA releasing the extended cut. I'm hoping they put together a better thought out single player storyline this time around. I would commend the writing, gameplay, etc up to the ending though, really a good job up to that point. It was almost like they had to wind things down early or something.

Hell you can pull it up on youtube probably unless you want to play through again.
