Hell you can pull it up on youtube probably unless you want to play through again.

Nah, can't be bothered. I didn't really mind the ending tbh, and I actually had 4 SP playthroughs before touching MP. Don't see myself playing it again.

I just somehow question the ability of the artists that allowed that piece of dog **** ending to be released anyways. And I wasn't even that upset about the absurdity of the ending but about the reaction of Shepard at the end. The extended cut fixed a lot of things but it never should have gotten to that point. It was a cheap, contrived ending.

As bad as it was I found the reaction of Casey Hudson to be very  entertaining. We went from puffing out his chest claiming "artistic integrity" and claiming all these fantastic reviews to him eventually waffling and EA releasing the extended cut. I'm hoping they put together a better thought out single player storyline this time around. I would commend the writing, gameplay, etc up to the ending though, really a good job up to that point. It was almost like they had to wind things down early or something.

I agree with you, for the most point, with exception of my much expected fight with and the kicking of the nuts of Harbinger.

Have you, or did you try MEHEM?

I maybe having a brain fart this morning but I'm trying to place what the initials mean there?

Yeah a more substantial boss fight would've been a little better as well at the end.

MEHEM is the Mass Effect Happy Ending Mod.

No starbrat and your LI meets you on the Normandy as Shepard places ADM Anderson's plackard on the Memorial wall.

Mr. Fob made it along with a lot of community help.

Nah, I haven't played it.

I thought probably Shepard ends up dying at the end but I never could see him being forced into choosing between three shitty choices after sacrificing so much and being such a badass.

That reminds me of the renegade move in ME1 when you return to the consort after having seen Septimus and Xeltan.

Haaaa!

It wasn't just the ending by any means but that capped it off.  As for the 'they fixed it' well you can go back in time and fix it for your 3rd or 4th replay but you can't erase the bad feeling you got at the end of ME3 any more than you can erase the absolutely terrific first time you beat ME1.

errr...forgive and forget? :D

uhmmm...didn't know that Casey was so...."unmodest" about it. Well, having in mind that the original ending was complete crap, I see your point.

I mean I understand his point in a way even if I'm unrelenting in my criticism of him and Mac. If you work your ass off on something and your fans are pissed about it, it has to be hurtful especially when you have good reviews from some of the critics about the game. I just felt it seemed.......abrupt and nonsensical not so much with the mass effect universe but with the character of Shepard himself.

But...if I'm not wrong...didn't even the devs themselves admitted at some point that the ending was rushed? I think I remember reading something like that...

It was.  And I understand as someone that creates stuff.

Moreover, it's always easier to criticize than create.

But at the same time, as a consumer, you want a someone decent product.

Well, it just surprises me to rush something as crucial as the end of one game...

Or maybe it's something not as important, after all. I don't know...(although judging for all the fuss that was created around that, I'd say it's not precisely non-important....).

Sometimes the pressures of "just get it out there" trump "artistic license".   It's a business after all and sometimes business decisions (albeit a poor one in retrospect) rule the day.  Just the way it is.

It is a shame really since the game was amazing up until the end.  I just sat there saying..."WTF just happened?"

It's generally true that if you praise anything, someone will tell you it's crap.

No wait, that's wrong. That only happens on BS Network. But it happens all the freakin' time.

You'd think the negativity would get boring, but apparently people prefer to stick to what they are good at.

PS  Nice attempt to get Godwin working for you, but doomed to fail.

People are going nuts over the ending? I mean maybe it felt a bit rushed but it's a video game, not some crazy blockbuster movie that was supposed to be the movie of the century. Talk about the age of entitlement.

Moving on, one of the major reasons why I fell in love with ME3 was simply the presentation. The graphics and the sound effects are incredible. Right from my first mission on ME1 I just fell in love with the sound of pull, and seeing enemies floating in the air.

I love the biotic sounds the most. The biotic explosions are great, and my favourite sound of all: Singularity expiring (exploding).

Not to mention all of the different weapon sounds and effects.

Oh and how can I forget Cryo explosions/blowing something up that is frozen. That shatter is just so satisfying.

??? I am well aware that people were dissatisfied with the ending, I am just astonished at how bitter people are over it. It is a GAME that you paid 65 dollars for, and how many hours of entertainment has it given you guys?

Considering the shitshow that went on during the last episodes of Evangelion decades ago, I'm completely unsurprised by fandoms these days.

Anyways, I didn't hate the ME3 endings. Just found them underwhelming

Bitter? IDK if I would term it "bitter" more like really disappointed. They just pissed on the franchise and the main protagonist in it. It's like an artist painting a masterpiece then taking a big dump on it.

Well I can understand the disappointment for sure. I guess it didn't affect me as much because I was more into the gameplay, and the story was just an awesome bonus.

I agree that it did feel rushed, and that it was underwhelming, but it definitely did not ruin the series for me in any way whatsoever. I had already spent 100's of hours on MP before I even did the SP campaign.

ME4 is going to be stellar.

Because adversity only happens on BSN? Maybe you should start learning to cope with frustration instead of repeating the same thing over and over again, you're as negative as those you complain of.

It was rushed because EA had a firm launch date for ME3.  Anyone who didn't understand that and played it from day 1 was bound to be disappointed.  I waited till the Citadel DLC came out, and by then the SP story was much better, even if still not so great.  Yes, I dealt with it.
