What happens if you sabotage the cure?

I just realized, with all of their worriors killed with Wreav, the females would take over on Tuchanka. Still a wasteland, still hate the galaxy, but if Bakara is right, it could lead to a huge change in culture to those that survive and the newborn.
The Culture would be dead without the cure and after the Reaper war. All or most of their men would have died already. It's not a bright future for them and like I said, there's not enough babies being born to help their population survive. They can't rebuild their culture without help... You're talking about a hopeless future that has an unrealistic way settling things. If there's not enough men or women, they will surely die off.

All speculation of course.

Destruction or Hope?

You're not seeing the bigger picture. The males are the aggressive ones - the ones who constantly fight for domination. The females could organize and start breeding the way Wrex tried to. And any surviving males could be raised in a less aggressive more cooperative culture.
All speculation of course.
You're betting on low fertility rates. In the end, they will still hate the galaxy for keeping the genophage with them. Resources will continue to grow scarce if they are left on Tuchanka. Scars stay forever, and that is not something that will heal.

I'd rather have them die than live in misery.
I'd rather let them suffer and let them see how their actions and behavior have put them into this situation. The Krogan deserve it I feel.

Also, I just realized how similar the scenario I outlined is the the Reaper cycle. Old culture dies so a new one can grow.

But we're talking about post-war and the Krogans were helping in the war. I don't think any species should live in such misery.
Assuming Salarian projections on the birth rate needed for a stable population were correct, the ideal solution would be a treatment which eliminated stillbirths without increasing birth rates beyond what they're at already. I'd say the psychological impact of those stillbirths is a huge contributing factor to the problem.
Bring back a "here comes the horde" fertility rate, and you're got huge problems on your hands - not least of which is that Tuchanka cannot support that kind of population. The euphoria of a cure will be short-lived when they remember they're living in an irradiated desert. They'll fall back into internal resource wars out of sheer necessity - which, I suppose, is another means of population control.

I think this is what Wrex should have asked for (with maybe a slightly higher birthrate like 0.05%), not a 100% cure. It would go a long way in showing how he's a progressive Krogan, rather than having every character constantly tell us.
However, this would eliminate the nonsensical false dichotomy the end of the arc gives us in choosing to sabotage the cure or not, so that might have been a problem with the whole "BIG CHOICES" mantra. Of course, there would be ways to work around it.

Its possible that Grunt could be the last Krogan to die.

This problem also seems to lie with the salarian that provides the cure in the first place. I suppose the writers could have Wrex propose whatever they want him to, but should he be able to have Mordin just whip up a genophage-lite just like that? From what he tells us, modifying the genophage was very complex, and required lots of work with an entire team, and it even ran the risk of sterilizing them completely. In this case, he's killing the infection altogether.I think this is what Wrex should have asked for (with maybe a slightly higher birthrate like 0.05%), not a 100% cure. TBH, I don't see how the Korgan could not have asked for the cure. It's like the Quarian invasion of Rannoch, no one's going to solve their problem for them (some might actually see a benefit in making sure it continues). If the opportunity is there once in 300 or 1000 years, take it.
Their problem is also the council's problem too. The Council released the genophage on the krogans, therefore, it is also their problem as well. I don't think it benefits anyone if the quarian and geth war continue...

I think the Council was quietly hoping the Quarians (and possibly the Krogan) would die out and the Geth would stay behind their little fence forever. It's easier to blame problems than it is to fix them.Their problem is also the council's problem too. The Council released the genophage on the krogans, therefore, it is also their problem as well. And yet no matter how you handle the Rachni Sparatus complains.

Which is a reason why the Council themselves are pretty much like salarians. The Council has a lot of blood on their hands.

Lol, Tevos was the reason why ME3 didn't end faster, not that I would have wanted it to, but still, she killed Thessia.

Dunno if the asari can mate with their own species, but they can sure screw themselves something proper.

He-he-he. True enough! Tevos needed to make plans for the continuity of her species... Shepard should have slapped her right through the QEC!
