Guys, I don't know if any of you would believe me, but you'll just have to take my word that I hate lying (outside of small white lies and I guess the "non of your business" lie which I assume falls in the same category?). But yesterday during the spending spree, the first weapon to max out to level 10 was... yep. The mighty OP Lancer. I kid not. Will give more info on that spending spree in that proper thread for it soon. At first I was like "Ah man, where is the Lancer? Come one, come on." Then when it hit level 7 I was like "OK if it stops here then this is pretty good." Then level 8, "Wow?! For sure this I could live with for some time!" And so on...
The CSMG didn't fare as well. It only got one level upgrade, from 5 to 6. Think I hurt it's feeling with this and the other topic? Meh, whatever. The Lancer I can use on every single kit in the game, except maybe the Drell of course, while the CSMG preferable only to those with very fast cool down power spamming & combos, like the chick Quaring Engineer.
Doesn't the notion of using consumables to improve the accuracy to put one on par with the other void the entire argument you're trying to make..?
I say if you don't want to learn stability control muscle memory, then use some stability control Consumables or Gear. But aim for the head, always, as I'm noticing this gun profits much more with headshots just like the Harrier. So if you don't want to take the time to learn to headshot with it's default stability, then I say it's very worth it. Cause headshot bonus will trump any Gear dmg bonus, and playing with the Geth Scanner (*ahem*, megabeast, *cough, cough*
) it a massive crutch best left alone.
I also at time use stability on weapons that don't need, like the Harrier. Because yes, extra stability is always going to be better. Even if it is simply for personal enjoyment.
