If your posts get deleted, its obviously because THEY ARE BEING DISCUSSED ELSEWHERE OR SOMEONE HAS ALREADY SAID NO.

I support same-sex romances, but this is getting a little more than ridiculous.

It's too late. You never will get a same gender romance again. BioWare has been selling OK with a million copies here and a million copies there but nothing truly great. Then there was RockStar to show them what they were doing wrong and what was holding them back....you see RockStar decided it was time to release a large DLC aimed at the same-gender people only and claim in advance that it would see spectacular sales. They were only half right...the DLC was spectacular but in its failure and complete lack of sales rather than success.

If one of the greatest selling franchises ever could all of a sudden completely and utterly fail in a major project then the truth became obvious.....they produced something that quite literally nobody wanted....and nobody wanted it because they aimed it at a target audience that is nearly nonexistent and the large part of society(including myself) does not approve of.

With this problem fixed there are really no more shackles left to hold BioWare back and with the mass promotion going this deserving game may well rise to truly epic proportions.

You have to be, HAVE to be, THE most epic Troll ever... Were you created in a lab somewhere?

Ballad of Gay Tony was NOT aimed at homosexuals

The large colorfull three letter word sure sent that impression and the only impression that counts is the first impression....not to mention the male frontal nudity introduced by the previous DLC sure didn't help dissipate that imression. The very logo of the DLC was clearly branded for a speciffic target audience.

Well. This is very frustrating. I'd thought better of the ME team, and maybe that was my own fault. Holding themselves as groundbreakers, "not shying from controversy." But in reality? Six new romances, three with aliens, not a single homosexual option. And no male-male option at all in the course of two games. "Not shying from controversy"...hah.

On the other hand, I'm still holding out hope for Zaeed, though!

See - I'm just gonna go ahead and have myself a Rugged, Badass, Gay, Shepard..

Let the ladies swoon, let the men be jealous - let all the heteroes breed! But my Shepard - God made him in his own special way - to save the Galaxy.

And when he does - all the galaxy will know - the breed still because a gay man made it so.

Rock on - bad-ass, loner Shepard. Rock on.

LOL well for one if bioware keeps doing normal romance and never moves on people will get bored. 2 I never said aim a complete Dlc on same sex i said make a dlc where you can have a same sex romance. that doesnt mean thats all i want them to do. they can add a few questions some new armor. your opinion is pointless i never said spend billions of dollars on a gay dlc. i said either make it possible to have same sex romance with one of your group members. or make a new squadmember that can have same sex romance. if somone doesnt buy DLC cause the new character or old one can have same sex romance they are retarded

Balled of Gay Tony was not "aimed" at "same-gender" people. Gay Tony is one character in the game, not even the PC. The PC is straight and hooks up with all sorts of girls... I'm not a big GTA fan, but it's really no different to any other GTA content, for better or worse.

Oh, and I don't see Zevhran or Leliana scuttling DAO sales.

It has been asked of us to cease creating these topics. While - I have to wonder why (did nobody see Pleasantville? There's so many things that are better than a "pleasant" environment) I think it would be best if we did as asked.

Wait until after it is released and we have confirmation one way - or the other.

Then - make our voices heard with facts in hand instead of speculation.

I don't think Liara being romanceable would have hurt Bioware's sales significantly at all. Also keep in mind that the target audiences of Rockstar and Bioware tend to be different, so there are always sampling biases in that sort of comparison. Besides, anyone who has more of a problem with homosexual content in video games then gratuitous graphic violence (or graphic sex, for that matter, though I don't mind that as much as the former) needs to seriously re-examine the sorts of things that affect the human psyche most strongly and seriously reconsider why their moral compass suggests wholesale slaughter is better than romantic or sexual love between two people of the same gender. I'm not suggesting violent video games should be obliterated. It's far to late for that, even if I wanted it. But we clearly need some help with priorities as a society if that is truly how most people feel. Which I sure hope it isn't.

That's really completely irrelevant.

A lot of the console GTA player base are the "console shooter" type, and are the kind that you know on Xbox Live (throw around the word f*g like it was snow).

The title colored in rainbow, and having the word "Gay" in it is what turned off potentially millions of sales right off the bat.

I really shouldn't do this but, I'll bite. I for one am not interested in buying a DLC just for a gay romance/character. So why exactly does that make me a retard?

Well what do you want us to talk about? If you had just made one of these threads with a strong argument some people might actually be talking about it. You haven't even handled this in a mature manner.

So just a quick little thought. Wasn't there an interview where Casey Hudson said that Asari weren't technically female? So he may have been saying that in response to his no f/f relationship. Just food for thought. So Samara may be a love interest for females, and this would all be just over semantics

What I'm seeing in these threads is a person lobbying a heartfelt plea to Bioware, and then a few others showing up in their threads shouting them down.

I would suggest instead of locking the threads, kick/ban the trolls who bring the hostility into them.

Zevran and Leliana were kept quite hidden. The larger public didn't know anything about them and they sure weren't labled as gay on the game's box as a driving selling point.

And I'll say this again:

The large colorfull three letter word sure sent that impression and the only impression that counts is the first impression....not to mention the male frontal nudity introduced by the previous DLC sure didn't help dissipate that imression. How insulting. The other thread did not get off track nor was it very hostile, yet Chris keeps shutting them down. WTF. Really, why can't you just give us a thread to discuss in?

It's fine, cause IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE SAME GAME ANYWAYS

BUT we don't know yet completetly, we know who's romancable, but we don't know who swings where
