I hope you guys realize that the only reason f/f romances are seeing some decent support is in a large part due to men who want to see that in a videogame for their own wet dreams. That might be seen as a selling drive point worth pursuing but it too can backfire badly as well since most people have families at home and having a family member see something like that is far less acceptable in most homes than it is to see a heterosexual romance.

I believe that if they were going to do a same-sex romance DLC, they should use the existing romances. The reason is that most of the romance dialog is gender neutral. Now, I have not watch any spoilers vids and I will not until I have finished the game, but I am going by Mass Effect. They would have to rerecord a number of lines, but not a great deal, and the animations are already in the game. From my view, it would be a simple DLC to create.

Of all the odd decisions they've made with ME2, I really find this one the oddest. Especially when you have characters like SuZe, and the fan favorite Tali being LI's. Heck even Miranda would make a good lipstick lesbian.

It's too late. You never will get a same gender romance again. BioWare has been selling OK with a million copies here and a million copies there but nothing truly great. Then there was RockStar to show them what they were doing wrong and what was holding them back....you see RockStar decided it was time to release a large DLC aimed at the same-gender people only and claim in advance that it would see spectacular sales. They were only half right...the DLC was spectacular but in its failure and complete lack of sales rather than success.
If one of the greatest selling franchises ever could all of a sudden completely and utterly fail in a major project then the truth became obvious.....they produced something that quite literally nobody wanted....and nobody wanted it because they aimed it at a target audience that is nearly nonexistent and the large part of society(including myself) does not approve of.
With this problem fixed there are really no more shackles left to hold BioWare back and with the mass promotion going this deserving game may well rise to truly epic proportions.

While it is unfortunate and irritating that there was time for more romances than in the previous title but not enough time for a same-sex romance, Mass Effect is a lot more about "cinematic story telling" than "choose-your-own-RPG" even though it has many elements of choice ... so choice is not Bioware's primary goal here, though they would like to play up the elements of choice as much as possible.
