It doesn't really matter whose fault it is. These are the people that have a large say in a huge slice of gaming slaes. All the shooter fans and so on. If you can draw these guys in it equates into huge sales and piles of cash. Why do you think this sunday BioWare will show off their launch trailer in front of 35 million of them? because BioWare's got the eye candy and shooter action they want.

That's perfectly fine with me too because the story and RPG feeling is greater than it has ever been in any game so that may well largely increase the RPG fanbase.

LOL who sais there wont be missions. if its a new character im pretty sure you have to do missions to get them. and ittl probably come with weps and armor. just cause the character is bi or gay there cant be anything els with the DLC

That's a problem that I have with wanting a Samara romance option. Samara just seems too mature for Shepard in a lot of ways. She has a face that is visually very striking, but at the same time--I don't know how to explain it really. She kind of radiates this confidence that tells me she's out of Shepard's league. I'd wholly support the notion of releasing some same-sex romance DLC, though.

Agreed, especially as a MaleShep option, he just doesn't have the skillz to pull that off.

I'll see how well they pull it off, I suppose, but I'm not convinced Thane is romance material either. For different reasons than Samara, but he just doesn't seem like the sort who would fall in love with Shepard (female or male). It's not long to find out, though.

Like weapons and armor add anything to the game, other than another toy that goes boom! Romances actually add something to the story for some people. Though, if they add another Squaddie, I hope he/she is interesting and not just thrown in to be a crowd pleaser. Another sidemission to go with the newbie would be great.

On the matter of roleplay, and as someone above mentioned, I hope Shepard can build some significant, emotionally valuable friendships that feel special with one or two squad members. I think it's nice to have deep interaction possibilities with all squad members, but I have special feelings for the original cast, and I hope that Bioware allows us to develop those with Garrus, Tali and company in non-romantic fashions. I felt like one of my Shepards, for example, was especially close to Garrus. I really want to watch that grow on screen.

I fully support same-sex romances for both gay shepards and lesbian shepards. Just because the option is there doesn't mean you have to choose it, that's why it's called an RPG.

Especially with the revamped combat system, weapons become less impressive as add-ons relative to the original game.

I'm just suggesting that people who suspect others of trolling shouldn't talk about them, and am proceeding to make fun of trolls in general. Trolling is in the eye of the beholder. I leave the beholding to others.

I think you're welcome to you opinion, and I think you've made it clear. Whether you're trying to be incendiary or not isn't something I'll claim to know. If you are trying to be incendiary, you should stop posting here.

You're getting mad that some of us are interested in having more LI options given to us. You don't want them, but you're mad that we do.

Then you use ridiculous and illogical arguments such as "If they give you more romance, they won't give me any other DLC!" You have no source for that and nothing to base it on other than assumption but you behave as if its a fact. You use this imaginary "fact" as a justification for telling people that their wishes and desires for future Mass Effect 2 content are nothing but a "sick fantasy" and you allude that implementing it will detract from the game overall by denying other content from being created. Again, based off nothing but your own imagination.

You are right, and other than the last line of my post which you quoted, I'm certain I haven't called him any names. In fact, despite my mental labelling him a troll, I've responded quite politely to a few of his posts on this subject. Neither here nor there, I know, but he did post that people freely use the label "troll" but don't explain why, so I figured I would reply with reasons that cause me to consider his posts as trolling. I wouldn't have even made a post otherwise.
