Hey guys.

 

I want to do a let's play where everyone of Mass Effect 2 squadmates dies. I wanna see what happens..

 

How can I make sure everyone or at least almost anyone, die, without Shepard's dying..

 

Any suggestions on how to do it?

No improvement on Normandy (few will die after leaving Omega relay).

No loyalty mission or bad decisions in these missions.

Using incompetent characters in tasks in Collector base, like Thane in ducts and such.

I would refer to this chart, since you have to plan out which squad members (you need at least 2 apparently) you wish to make loyal so they will survive to the end to help Shepard.

It is not possible for everyone to die and have Shepard live. I believe at least two squad mates must live for Shepard to live. You could defer getting Samara until after the SM and then choosing Morinth. Morinth only shows up in ME3 as a Banshee.

I always thought Shepards survival also depends on (at least) one party Member surviving the reaper boss fight.

You can have everyone die including Shepard if you choose, but you don't want Shepard dead. So to save Shepard, two squadmates have to survive the suicide mission. I take it that its safe to say you want the crewmembers to live? I do this all the time and not as hard as some might believe.

 

This is what I do. Make sure Miranda and Zaeed are loyal. These are my favorite. Of course you can pick any two to have loyal. Recruit everyone. Even let the Geth become Legion. DO NOT get the upgrades for the Normandy.

 

After going through the relay, Jack will die from having no armor. Take Kasumi and Zaeed to fight the whatever in the hangar. Legion will be killed because you have no shields. Thane will die shortly since you don't have the Thannix cannon.

 

Have Garrus go through the vent . He will die. Doesn't matter who the fireteam leader is.  Send Grunt to escort the crew back and he will die. Have Samara hold the barrier and take Miranda and Jacob. Jacob will die when the swarm takes him away. Have Tali be the 2nd fireteam leader and she will be killed.

 

Have Mordin, Kasumi and Zaeed to hold the line. Zaeed will survive because he's loyal and Kasumi and Mordin will die. Samara will go with Miranda and die fighting the human reaper

 

Zaeed or Miranda will help Shepard back onto the Normandy. Shepard lives.

Thank you for you're suggestion. But I want one crew member to survive, either Zaeed or Kasumi..

You have to have at least 2 squadmates alive for Shepard to live. If only one is alive, Shepard will not be pulled up into the Normandy and just falls to his/her death

Jacob will always die if you have him do the vent.

Whoever uses the vent dies if a) you use a non-loyal second fire-team lead, b ) you don't use Garrus/Jacob/Miranda as second fire-team lead, c) the vent specialist is not loyal, d) the vent specialist is someone other than Kasumi/Tali/Legion.

I've tried a few times with only one squadmate alive and Shepard will always die. You have to have 2 squadmates alive for Shepard to live. The squadmates don't have to be loyal for Shepard to live. They just have to survive the mission.

So tell me how, I want Kasumi and Zaeed to survive because they have less of a role in Mass Effect 3. Can you tell me how to save them and kill the rest without Shepard's dying? Thanks.

Have Garrus die in the vent. Have Grunt die escorting the crew. Have Samara do the barrier and bring Jacob and Miranda. Jacob will be taken away by the seeker swarm. Have Tali lead the 2nd fireteam and dies.

Actually, I believe that with only Mordin, Kasumi, and Zaeed holding the line you don't need anyone loyal to only kill Mordin. The average is 1.0, right,  which means one death with 3 squadmates holding. Mordin dies first since he's first on the list. This means that Kasumi and Zaeed will die in ME3.

He wants both Kasumi and Zaeed alive for ME3, so I would figure he would want them to live all the way through ME3. Also its  possible that Kasumi could die.

 

Those averages have never applied to me. I've done enough suicide missions that the averages have never worked for me. I've had squadmates survive holding the line when they shouldn't of and I had squadmates die when they shouldn't of. Is it because I have a ps3? Don't know.

But I always thought that you need at least one loyal squadmate to go the end run of the suicide mission to help shepard pull up, because Joker can't pull Shepard. Are you sure Shepard won't die if I don't bring loyal member to the final boss?

Yes.

 

If you have someone who escorted the crew and survives, then have someone survive hold the line, that will give you at least two squadmates alive leading to Shepard surviving the suicide mission. I've done it before
