Late to the party huh?
Better late than never knowing; now, the op is blessed.

There are conditions pertaining the reversal however; a demon must come into contact (it's not specified whether possession is absolutely necessary) in order to cause the reversal. But the demons are uninterested in the tranquil (no emotions to play on) and I don't think it would be easy to coax one to touch the tranquil in the first place. Then you have to contend with a potential possession which creates all kinds of problems in itself..
I am looking forward to more details about it though.
Wait, wait, wait, wait....wait. Anders was tranquil? In Dragon Age 2? Right in font of me and I did not know that because he was possessed by Justice....
Back on topic.
What? No, Todd was referring to the incident during Ander's quest. When confronted by the Tranquil Karl, Anders lost control of his emotions and Justice(vengeance) took over which caused Karl to regain his connection with the Fade for a short time.
EDIT: dang, done got sniped xD
on a side note, that's one ugly Hawke ![]()
You were close though, literally off by seconds.

Tranquils are fun. Why would someone want to cure them. You can say anything to them and they won't be angry. Also they are pretty good at doing house work, walking the dog etc.
and I just got this horrible thought that Scribe-girl is a Tranquil mage...
......... Q_Q
Yeah, I had no idea about this either. I don't read the books. I am a big Dragon Age fan, but I keep to the games. This is really surprising. It kind of takes away from the tragedy of what the whole Rite of Tranquility means now. Don't get me wrong, it's nice that it can be reversed, but I kind of liked that it was such a horrible thing that made decent people oppose the templars and chantry that agreed with such a process. It made it that more important to fight the good fight against those who would take away a person's right to live free. Now with this revelation, it's no big deal, lol It's just a fantasy game I guess.
I wonder if this will even appear in the game. They may just keep it to the books. Just like how a lot of books that end up as movies differ a bit. I hope they keep this aspect out of the game. My whole mindset was to go in and fight for mages rights in DA:I. Might not be so important now. As much as I liked DA2, I feel like both sides were wrong in the end. Mages went cuckoo and obviously Meredith was a nut job. Hoping for an epic ending this time around.
Its not a perfect "cure" as others have talked about it. And there is some connection between the books and games but I'm not sure what they bring in.
I am mostly commenting here though because you have a Tarutaru in Summoner AF as your avatar. I was reminded of my many years on FFXI, thank you!

... I'd be okay with that. It also balances the classes of our advisors without being ridiculous.and I just got this horrible thought that Scribe-girl is a Tranquil mage...

Refer to my post above. Nobody better Tranquilize my Scribbles! ![]()

So? People don't know DHMG's, Grey Warden's, or Guy Who Looks Like Cole's name either yet they are still attached. Why not me with Scribbles?

I wouldn't mind it either, actually. I liked Owain and also Elsa. Being tranquil doesn't necessarily mean that you don't have a personality, so it would be interesting to have long term interaction with a tranquil person.
Rather Scribbles not be tranquil, I actually kinda doubt she is. I see it more of a negative than a positive to have tranquil followers.
She doesn't have the symbol on her forehead, so she's not. Thank goodness.
Also trueShe doesn't have the symbol on her forehead, so she's not. Thank goodness.
Also true
She is likely to be a mage anyway though, based on team's symmetry
On the Scribbles thread, people think she may have been in the Lucrosian Fraternity since seem to focus on economics and politics, which is what she'll be doing in the Inquisition.
We should take this to the Scribbles Thread.
I have no idea what lucrathing is but I still think she can be both a mage and an economistOn the Scribbles thread, people think she may have been in the Lucrosian Fraternity since seem to focus on economics and politics, which is what she'll be doing in the Inquisition.
