Never claimed it was... I know for a fact that it wasn't. It's still a good film. Don't put words in people's mouths.
I wasn't. I just greatly dislike the film for reasons that have nothing to do with cinematography.
It was not a jab at you.
I would loooovvveeee to have one in the series, preferably in the upcoming game (I know, it won't happen) but yeah. I love this idea. Who doesn't love Holy War?

Cool. Hard to interpret intent on the interwebs.
Ummmm...
It makes for a good story lol
Weren't we supposed to get one in the canceled DA2 Expansion? I'm thinking we will get one in DA4 because of the Qunari invasion that looks to happend sooner rather than later with what Sten said and the Qunari attack on Kirkwall.

The title for the canceled expansion was Exalted March. Whether it would have actually featured one or been about preventing one or whatever, we don't know.
As far as I'm aware no real plot details regarding Exalted March have been released, mainly because a good bit of them have been worked into Inquisition.
Weep for the dead DA2 expansion.
There was a planned expansion featuring an exalted march?!
With the Templars splitting from the Chantry, what will the Exalted March be composed of?
Powerless nuns and a bunch of peasants that follow them?
The Templar split from the Chantry will probably be resolved at the end of DA:I.
In any case, Exalted Marches just like the Crusades they are loosely based on, didn't just rely on religious orders to fight them. Most of the manpower is coming from secular knights and soldiers that march (or ride) off to war. Without the Templars you could still have Exalted Marches, as most of the knights that made up previous marches were probably secular anyway. In the lore its not just the Templars going off to war, it is whole nations answering the Chantry's call.
THE MAKER WILLS IT!
If there is a Tevinter focused game it will probably throw the Qunari hordes at us with an Exalted March as our reinforcements.
Now THAT would be really really fun

Doubtful. The guys started a ''world war'' and split away from the Chantry to do so unsansctioned.
The Chantry taking them back would basically be selling out.

Wrong thread.

In either case an Exalted March can go on with or without them. The bulk of the manpower would be secular knights and soldiers.

Yes, but apparently some of it's story elements were turned into DAI (sans Hawke and friends).

Which is sad. They couldn't be bothered to give the game a proper ending. Whatever their experiment with DA2 was I hope they learned from it. No more cliff hangers, please. You can't churn out role playing games at the same rate as Madden or FIFA and expect the fan base to love it out of blind brand loyalty. DA2 was good. A cut above mediocre, but after Origins people were expecting greatness. This is your Morrowind BioWare, don't f**k it up.

Well... the good thing is, Hawke can be revisited. At least there's a possibility, no matter who the player is. Hawke is merely missing. Unlike the Warden.

But will they? Do they have the balls for it? I don't care if I don't like Hawke's cameo personally. If they do it I'll respect it. I just want some decisiveness from these guys. 'We're telling the story we want to tell and not what we think will sell more or is popular'. Dragon Age needs balls,
Vivec took balls. The 36 Lessons took balls.

If that's the case, I agree. I'm not sure if it's about lacking balls though. It could be that the themes in that expansion suddenly sparked so many ideas they thought it was best served in a whole new game/setting. We may never know.
Since this is their license though, I expect more followup. Unlike KotoR, when they were somewhat powerless.

IMO they folded when they saw Legacy's and MoTA's sales figures. I understand this is a business, but that business is reliant on creative chutzpah. Playing it safe means stagnation and fatigue.
This is getting off topic, but very relevant to development cycle nonetheless.
Honestly, if there's an exalted march, I'd like to be the glorious strategist and not one of the minions.

If there is one on the dwarves I'd like to be standing next to Dagna in the circle she helped create as we fight off the invading army.

Maybe you're right.
I wish I could tell them that I liked Hawke, and wish to see their story finished. If they care more about pleasing people who hate their games, then I don't know what to say.
