I'm back and modding again so as a result here are some new projects or some updates to older stuff I've done. Screenshots will be fourth coming as I get them all gathered.
I have some screenshots of these things, but not all of the mods here have screenshots finished yet. Or at least, not the screen shots I'd like. Anyway I'll get that in time.
What I've got ready to go are the following:
Battlefield 3 Single Player Armor (Original color scheme w/o Fire) - Note: Basically a jungle version.
Battlefield 3 Single Player Armor (N7 "Desert" Defender) - Note: This one replaces the stock N7 Defender
Battlefield 3 Single Player Armor (N7 "Desert" Defender) - Note: This one replaces the BF3 Armor and requires a coalesced.bin mod to use.) Fire and no fire versions are included.
Cerberus Ajax Armor - Note: Identical to Smartek's version but with the original Cerberus logos redone.
Default N7 Armor - Note: I can't take too much credit for this one. The helmet was changed a bit as were the shoulders. The rest of the texture is Smartek's and Bloodr (I think that's the guy who made the FemShep version.) And these go together. There are some shared files between these two, you can use the male version alone but the female version requires the male version, or it will be incomplete.)
Death Mask -Note: Requires coalesced.bin to use with the BF3 SP armor if you want to complete that look, otherwise it works fine on it's own and the BF3 Armor doesn't contain the texture map for it like the MP version does.)
M-96 Mattock - Note: I almost didn't bother putting this one up but I figure some people might like it. This one is pretty much the stock ME2 texture up-scaled slightly with a new normal map for ME3. Much higher quality than the ME3 version. Also the body does not change color with modification.) This one looks surprisingly good despite not having to do much to it.
Spectre Pack Weapons - Note: Includes Black Widow, M-11 Wraith and M-77 Paladin
One final note about the BF3 armors. There is a slight reddish tint in some lighting on the right side of the armors. (Does not effect the version which replaces the stock N7 Defender Texture entirely.) This isn't hardly noticeable on the Jungle version but clear on the desert version in say really sunny areas. Indoors not so much. This is due to a light being added to that model in game and not through a texture. This isn't a texture issue but a game issue or some sort. I'd welcome any help anyone can offer on getting rid of that crap once and for all via ME3Explorer or whatever means necessary. I've done my best to mask this problem and will continue to work on it but the issue doesn't appear to be anything texture related as the files work fine as stock replacements for the standard N7 Defender armor.
And yes, I will be creating my own thread to pool all this stuff into. I just thought I'd let you guys know here as this has become one of the definitive places to get mods for this game.
Another note, the M-11 Suppressor is done but this was one I had to pull the textures out through ME3Explorer. I do not have this in the correct format for a .tpf file. For some reason I can't use Texmod to pull textures on any of my machines anymore. It crashes when I start up Texmod. This happened after the installation of the Citadel DLC on all my machines. Before that it worked fine. And no, compatibility modes didn't resolve the issue.
And the last thing I can think of relates to certain normal maps. BioWare in it's infinite wisdom chose to use the same normal maps for some similar weapons. The Black Widow and M-98 Widow share the same normal map. Oddly it looks better to use the one I made for the Black Widow for both. For the same reason the M-11 Suppressor, Carnifex and Paladin all share the same normal map. The M-11 Suppressor as a result was altered slightly to resemble those other guns more closely so it would look right. And the M-22 Eviscerator shares a normal map with the M-11 Wraith Shotgun. So as a result you actually get a slight visual improvement on that gun as well.
- Note: There is a delay on the Desert Defender that replaces the stock one. I'll have them up after awhile.
