Pretty much this is what I am saying. I appreciate you posting like you have some sense, for that I thank you. All I wanted to say to you.

 

 

I think new players that may look at this are far less inclined to even post on this forums at all.

 

People aren't afraid to post if they share the same opinion as someone else, but when there's a small group of people who believe in one thing and someone has a different opinion, all hell breaks loose. This isn't a pug, this is a small group on this section of the BSN forums that believes in one thing, which is far from the majority. More people agree than you know, I end up getting back pms saying i'm right and "this is why I don't post on this section of the forums" which is sad. The few people who had a different opinion and bothered posting in here got insulted and chased off by the small group on here, that's why most people who have opinions just don't bother posting or is having fun playing the game how they want and don't bother looking here. I can care less about being insulted on a forums, and I can care less responding back to them. If that makes you cool in front of your internet friends go ahead, but you don't look cool to spectators. Just know your opinion gets weaker if you sit around throwing insults at people like you got no manners.

 

New players believe who they want to believe, i'm just letting them know there are two sides to every story and your opinions aren't set in stone facts. While I agree with some of you on some of your points, insulting people for every little opinion they have is unnecessary. Some of you need to grow up, seriously.

Over 111% of them told me that you should show a vid of your implied godly playing skills without consumables (off host).

 

Nearly 222% said you failed logic miserably when saying decreased cooldown time or increased weapon damage did nothing to reduce the time needed to finish a match

 

333% said your backtracks on how the manifest calculated average score as being vastly incorrect were overly obvious.

 

^all the above are using the same no evidence, numbers out my backside style used in your replies

 

Oh btw feel free to show your manifest so you can at least show everyone how many games you have run that gives you the impressive clout to say your experience is so much more correct than everyone else's here's combined number of games.

Definition of leech....means im not doing anything, objectives, killing, just sitting there watching everybody. Wonder why I always kill and do objectives if im considered a leech anyway.

 

Clearly not doing all I can to help the team out, wonder how I extract, probably because I know who to keep in my lobby i guess. I sure don't sit around complaining about a big bad "no consumables" guy.

 

It is illogical to think that consumables means anything other than an optional boost.

 

It is just like that Lone Wolf banner claim a while back "he isn't a team player and selfish" label, which was equally as ridiculous. Dwell on that for a while.

I had always harboured doubts after that thread when you were exposed and quickly made your manifest private. Eh those doubts are now fully justified when you don't even dare show your number of hours and games played.

I can't for the life of me understand how any logical being can deny that using consumables helps increase the overall team damage, cutting down match times in the process.

 

Pretty sure you're willfully misrepresenting his position. He seems to be stating that

 

- he does, personally, sometimes use consumables (it's pretty clearly stated, actually)

- he doesn't automatically rage against players who *don't*

- they're neither mandatory nor never-to-be-used on gold

- that the varying levels of skill in terms of what players you end up with, matters more than what consumables are being used

 

Considering I've seen everything from non-communicative <20 N7s on clearly non-alt accounts who've no idea of what they're doing to "max manifest and obsessive enough he's promoted every class over 100 times and feels no compunction about using Harrier X + GC V TGIs on gold", with no teamwork to close-knit... to bottom-scoring full-consumable Cain Mine spammers who bottom-scored because they kept bleeding out far from everyone else... lack of  consumables don't come close to the top of ways for players to *not* be helpful.

Don't think so. My issue is with the "sometimes" use of consumables. If you're playing gold+ without em, you're a leech.

You pretty much explicitly said that consumables don't make a difference (for instance, in the time of a game), which is obviously patent nonsense, and it was primarily that to which most people were objecting (so far as I could tell anyways). Nothing that I saw suggested you were merely saying that "consumables don't make up for a deficiency in skill"- pretty much nobody could/would disagree with that. It would appear that, at best, you just didn't communicate what you were trying to say all that effectively.

So this is still going? Dolun still insists that using consumables doesn't help with ttk and survivability? He still urges new players to not listen to good advice that helps them to get credits faster and more reliable? Well he said he's done with this topic. Good.

 

I don't get it. I really don't. It all comes down to greed and ignorance anyway - in my humble opinion. Optional? Like weapon mod slots and permanent gear mod slots? Or assigning points to a lvl 20 character? If all this is optional, why do the non consumable users make sure they use them? I've seen many posts in the past stating "I don't need consumables yadda yadda, but of course I always run full weapon mods and permanent gear".

 

This argument gets old. All the people that refuses to use consumables have always been exposed as either greedy and stingy or tryhard braggers that mostly uses op setups that, even without equipment, are far more powerful than most of the other kit/weapon + consumable combos.

 

Just wanted to say something to the "everybody should play what and how they want" argument. I don't fully agree. This is a game for 4 players, so your decison affects 3 other people. Someone joining a lobby without at least the basics for the selected difficulty is putting pressure on the rest of the team. Not always is a BSNer availabe to compensate for this, in fact in a lot of games one bleeder can get the rest of the team into trouble that otherwise would've done fine. Deliberately ruining the fun for other players is not acceptable. Hitting the ground constantly, bleeding out every wave is not considered a playstyle.

 

There are some newer players around here lately, so I guess some more are just lurking. Take the good advice provided by veterans, and use all you can get to maximise your builds and damage.

That's funny, considering I never use that class anyway, When I found out about that glitch I already resetted my characters once and was close to maxed again. and didn't feel like resetting it again. Considering that's the only class I even have like that, don't see your point.

Also.. You haven't used any kits from the machine mastery tree since November except your glitched Juggy? I call BS.

I'm going to try leeching a few games and see how it goes.

 

Update: I am a horrible leech. 

 

First game I dropped into a game in progress. Luckily there was a Paladin so I at least had someone I could detonate for, that was until wave 8 where everyone bled out immediately. The same happened on wave 9, which is why the time sucks. It was a rush using a Geth Engi with no consumables vs Collectors Hazard Glacier but the fission was mailed.

 

 

 

Second game I somehow ended up hosting so that obviously skewed my results. The team was Flamer trooper + Harrier, Vanilla soldier + Valkyrie, and a Salarian Infiltrator + Hurricane who dropped in at the end of wave 1. No spawn nuking, 1 killstreak from target switch on wave 6, 3 waves survived, and 5 waves survived. Overall it was the best pug I've played for a while. If it matters, everyone was using lvl 3-4 consumables from what I could tell (flame trooper guaranteed, I cringed seeing him waste an AP IV ). I think the Salarian had trouble controlling the recoil past 20 m, but up close he we wrecking them. Oh, and I forgot to turn on Hunter Mode until wave 5. I was wondering why the screen was so clear, lol.

Dolun, please provide the video with your 1337 no consumables clearing time (preferably the solo when you would clear the room in less than 30 min, preferably with weapon platform). Alternatively follow the second piece of advice from my previous post.
