What type of pets do you want to see. Obviously I want to see the return of the Mabari War Hound, but with Bioware deciding that there will be no DLC party members I thought it might be nice to see some different types of pets to be added to the game, or by DLC.

 

 

Somehow I don't see the Orlesians having Mabari as they are always cursing Fereldan's wet dog smell, and from what Leliana described their dogs are small with sharp teeth.

 

I think that pets and mounts should be linked so that the Halla is one of the group much like the Dog was in II and Origins.

I also think it would be best if you only had a choice of one pet per playthrough though.

 

But we are not talking mounts here. So to the point what combat, or otherwise pets would you like to see in DAI.

Dragon Age always has had pets, a dog in DAO and DAII, a confirmed Halla in DAI, And lets not forget the infamous Sir Pounce A'lot. I think we need an epic, stupid mission to retrieve him for Anders!

No, you literally find the cat outside your base, pick it up, go to your inventory, give it to Anders. That's it.

Assuming he is alive I'd say his role would be huge considering what he did at Kirkwall.

In Asunder, the Circle Mages wrote him off as an insane lunatic. He will have no place with them. After all he is the guy responsible for the genocide of the Kirkwall Circle.

The Halla was not confirmed for DAI if you're referring to the Red Hart Halla. That was a mistake marketing made. The Red Hart is similar to a Halla but it's more of a large moose like creature than a deer like the Halla. Though Mike Laidlaw said that Halla have not been discredited as mounts, the Red Hart is not one. Sorry.

The first thing that came to mind for me was The Sims. While I loved having pixel versions of my cats, they were little terrors that cured my itch to ever play that game again.

Back on topic...I'm unsure how I'd feel about this. On one hand, I'd be the first in line for a pet. I was always the kid who brought strays home, and still have lots of pets to this day. On the other hand, I'm not sure it makes sense in this scenario. I guess it would depend on how it came to be.

If Leliana still had her nug, I'd be fine with that little guy running around.

Jokes aside, I would love a pet. Something that doesn't require much looking after, but makes Skyhold feel a bit more home-ish or has some decorative value. Like a pond of fish, provided someone else feeds them.
