Does anybody know if there is a legal issue with using the free models on the Turbosquid site? They look really nice--particularly some of the architecture models--and the royalty free license seems to be pretty liberal in terms of allowing porting, building derivatives, and redistribution. But I'm not a lawyer, so I'm not 100% certain that I won't get into hot water. It'd be nice to know whether somebody has tread this path before. Thanks.

I would think they are okay. When I used to mod Rainbow Six: Raven Shield, a few people used to put models from that site and some other one in their maps for the game. Oddly, they have a clause in their FAQ about not using their products in "Virtual Worlds," so that is weird. I would just email them, I am sure they would reply.

Virtual Worlds are things like Second Life, where there is, or was, a thriving business of people selling 3D models and textures for players to use in that world.

I found an entry on their FAQ which seems to cover it, so I think I'm okay. Thanks.
