Sorry if there's already a topic on this.

Well, I finally got around to playing ME3, and noticed EDI was still part of the ship. If AIs are dangerous (and, if my memory serves me correctly, illegal), then why would the Alliance keep her?

because Joker tricked them into thinking she was just a VI not a AI.

You need to stop hitting the spacebar so much during dialogue.

Ah, well that makes sense. Now that I think about it, I remember Traynor saying that Joker told her that. Thanks.

If you talk with Adams and you bring up EDI, Shepard notes that EDI had been posing as a VI to keep the likes of Adams from unplugging her.

Because she's my favoritest.

Yeah they pretty much handwave it by EDI pretending to be a VI and the Alliance being unaware of her truer nature.

And then Shepard is force-RPed into going 'she's fine, EDI is good/useful'. Silly Bioware making Shepard accept an AI existing. That's certainly not MY ME1 Shepard! (just kidding, my Shep loves Geth and negotiates with AI)

Would have been funny to see Anderson's reaction to it though.
