actually thinking second time I canceled the pre-order just because the outraging price on it.

I pre ordered ME3 and it cost me 70 euro on origin then year later it was on sale for 5 euro on origin so hack I'll wait and get it on sale + patches.

Wheres the enjoyment in that? Waiting a year + just to save some money. as for the MP the type i'd like , is None at all. We know it'll have Online of some sort , but I can hope it just like requiring Origins to be running.

I am seeing a split in opinions here. some people think it would be fine and maybe even enjoyable to have MP in the game as long as it doesn't effect the making of or playing of SP. then there is some of you who are demonizing all games that have SP and MP in the game (disturbedjim83). and then there is a sprinkling of people who don't really give a ****.

also this whole thing is just running around in circles.

I'm ok with MP so long as it has no affect on the SP at all, problem is most companies don't see it that way and the COO of EA Peter Moore is one of them and its common practice now that where there is MP MT soon follow,MT are viable in a F2P game as its the only way for the Dev to recoup their costs, in a game that costs $60 its disgraceful tbh.

But that an aside,I'm sure we all are aware of 2 of the biggest complaints aside from the ending that were leveled at ME3 prior to the EE fix:

1) MP had a direct effect on the SP campaign where you had to play it to get the best ending,or do every dam side mission, scan every planet etc to get the best ending which frankly was unacceptable.

2) Game Content that came on the disk was effectively locked behind a paywall, requiring you to pay for DLC to "unlock" content that was already on the disk.

I still remember the statement prior to the EE patch that effectively said that customers who complained about the endings were too stupid to "get it" which didn't help, what concerns me more was that someone at BW clearly thought that doing these 2 things was a good idea.Sure they fixed it eventually but only after a ton of complaints and bad media coverage on the whole fiasco.

An now only 4 months from release we are getting the same "vague" statements from devs with no clear answer as to whether there is MP in DAI which would seem to indicate 2 possibilities.

1) There is MP and they are keeping quiet about it to avoid concerned people cancelling pre orders or outright avoiding the game because as much as I enjoyed DA2,it ticked off alot of the DAO fanbase so alot is riding on this game to try and pull the disgruntled DAO fanbase back in.

2)They plan on introducing MP into DAI at a later date or maybe a future game if DAI does well and are effectively "testing the water" to see if there is a big enough interest to risk ticking off a section of the fanbase.

There could be other options I haven't thought of given that I didn't sleep much and still need some coffee but I digress

Differing, vocal opinions going back and forth? On a Bioware forum?

Surely you jest, sir.

That's the nature of things when there is no information. People saying "I want it!" to people saying "I hate it!" to people saying "Well, it could be good if..."

When no one has any idea what something really is or could be, it is such an open-ended conversation that it can only go in circles indefinitely.

I mean that would be unheard of in the history of the BSN lol (at war with the world and itself)

it's not like I'm lacking any games to play meanwhile, movies to watch or good books to read. I just decided I refuse to pay over 10 times the price.

It's all about self control.

I have plenty of games I didn't play yet, I got mmo sub, I got movies I want to see and many book I didn't read yet.

ME3 thought me the with patience I can get more.

As an aside, this seems like a great time to say that I would love to be able to enable tactics for the controlled character, leaving me to let the tactics win or lose the fight.

I would also very much like this.

Whatever the MP gameplay is, I hope that we won't be required to play with other people in order to try it out. Unless it is purely PvP, I see no reason why a single player shouldn't be allowed to give it a shot.

Would something like solo play on ME 3's MP count in this regard, or are we talking about an 'offline' mode?

I hope that there is some way to play MP that doesn't rely on EA's servers personally. Mostly because I always feel that I am playing on borrowed time with the servers; at any time EA could shut down the servers and then MP would completely disappear.

Like what happened to BFME2; one of my all time favorite RTS games; a title that I spent countless hours playing with my friends. But the Servers shut down and suddenly, I'm looking at a SP game.

I meant the former, but the latter would also be welcome.

I completely agree with this. I'd also like to see LAN play supported.

Mass Effect 3's Citadel DLC gave us a Pinnacle Station-esque arena where you could play with your squad. If they did MP (and I still hope they don't, and I think the fact that we've had an entire year since the reveal and no announcement has been made supports this), that should be how they do it--with an single-player version.
