Germany seems to often look tremendous in the early going of these tournies, I'd caution against handing them the cup just yet. Portugal packed it in after the red card in this game.

He's at least not sane. I'd be terrified to have someone like Pepe on my team because it feels like he's more likely to screw you over than the opponent team by doing something reasonable. Suppose maybe the Portugal coach is a masochist?
Maybe he fears the consequences of dropping the maniac. He's been sent off 13 times and had that huge ban for kicking a guy in the back of the head.
I'm not sure if Germany have been excellent or Portugal just really awful. The scary part is Germany don't look like they have hit top gear yet and could get much better as the tournament goes on.

They've been 3rd place in 2006, 2008, 2010, and 2012. I expect them to at least get 2nd this year

Ronaldo is better than any German player. His great performance in La Liga and European Championship proves it. His lazy teammates certainly ruined everything today.
2 injuries for Portugal. I guess it is in serious trouble if other players don't wake up from "dizziness".
Iran's team... they don't have enough strength and stamina but in technique they're good enough to show a good game (or they were few months ago).
Nigeria seems like the weakest African Team this year. I have seen enough surprises. The match will probably turn draw just to ruin the world cup and my prediction!
I don't care enough for Ghana-USA match to watch it in 3 AM.

Do they have a universal language for beaking at the refs I wonder? I always find it amusing when after a call a half dozen players from one team gather around him and are talking and gesticulating and I'm thinking 'The ref has no friggin idea what they are saying.'
