I'm hoping for the opposite. If US does good in this Cup 'soccer' becomes a popular sport in the US for next four years. And my little cousin will play for the US national team one day; so I'm biased.

 

Well, I guess it can have some positive effects (hopefully).

I don't like that Suarez has become a scapegoat. Penalize him and let it rest. I've seen worse offenses. Liverpool is being quiet about it and I don't think Uruguay is going to appeal.

Liverpool is waiting for the full text of the decision before doing anything. As for Uruguay, well, their defences was based on the shots of Chiellini's marks being photoshopped. They really don't have something to appeal and try to get a lesser penalty.
