Now that was a great game. Literally came down to the last two penalty kicks. I hope the rest of the round of 16 is just as good.

That's the kind of game that makes me want to watch true football regularly.

It came down to the width of the crossbar, had Chile scored in that last 80 seconds of the extra time.

Hot damn, what a match! Penalties will be what causes my heart to collapse someday...  :o

Kinda glad that Brazil made it, if only for the atmosphere over there. Chile would've equally deserved it (if not more), though.

I literally jumped from my chair at that point. They were so damn close to actually doing the unthinkable.

Still, even with Brazil winning, I have a strange feeling that seeing how close they came to tasting defeat might embolden some of the other teams. Brazil, while being fun to watch, really hasn't come across as an unstoppable force.

Brasil=The Undertaker

Some other team=Brock Lesnar

That other team's coach=Paul Heyman

"MY CLIENT *team name* CONQUERED BRASIL IN THE WORLD CUP"

Off-topic... but when Batista finished from promoting his latest film, he should feud with Lesnar. They need their own kayfabe, without HHH's crap.

Well, given Suarez's suspension, I'm thinking whoever comes out of the Uruguay - Columbia match still won't be strong enough to take down brazil.

Although I'd like to see it. My respect for Brazil's fandom plummeted when they drowned out the Chilean national anthem before the game. Not cool - don't mess with the nation's song.

Not really the best match but it was damn tense. I would have loved Chile's crossbar kick see go in in the last minute of the extra time

But when you start the penalty shootout with 2 misses you can't expect to win anymore..

@Ballistic Rebel

Added your predictions but you were a bit late on the Brazil - Chile one plus you predicted a draw on France - Nigeria but you haven't stated who advances

I also don't have Mitthrawuodo and Fchopin's predictions btw

I missed the first eleven minutes of the match. If they honestly pulled that, it's absolutely shameful.

I only got to watch about 15 minutes in, so I didn't see this. That's ****** low...!  :angry:

If Colombia plays like this on Friday and Brazil doesn't improve it's bye bye for us.

@ Kimosabe0 I have a question:

I predicted that Brazil would win over Chile 3-1. Since it was a draw, and Brazil ended up winning the penalty shootout, do I still get the 5 points?

Similary, what if the opposite was true? What if I predicted a draw with Brazil winning the penalty, but Brazil actually won the game 2-1, would I still get the 5 points?

I'd agree. Granted, every match is a different story, but I'm very impressed of Colombia.
If I May ask, would you like to see Maicon play (not that this is the major problem for Brazil)?

Yes, Dani Alves is a good offensive-minded back but he's a liability on defense and Maicon would bring more stability to the area.
