Hah! Anyway Müller shoots were careless last night. If it was Klose instead of him he might have targeted the edges of the goals not the goalkeeper. Schürrle did a great job at the end.

Those goals were in ET. You only get points for the correct score at the end of 90 minutes...I think.

Our TV messaging game considers all 120 minutes for the result. It's only a draw if it goes to penalties.
And I didn't advance much in ranking because the majority of people had predicted France and Germany winning!

These Argentina matches have been some of the worst ones to watch. I keep nearly falling asleep watching them.
I see FIFA and Barca are getting up to the usual one rule for Barca and a different rule for everyone else antics. Barca's transfer ban suspended, Suarez allowed to transfer clubs despite being banned from all other activities. Convenient. Barca allowed to talk about another clubs player without any punishment yet again. What's the odds on Barca signing him and suddenly his ban gets reduced?

Not even going to bother watching the Argentina game, like you say they are really not that entertaining to watch and rather spend that time on something else so i don't miss Belgium Vs USA

Messi is surrounded by three Swiss players and can't do much and other Argentinian players aren't that great in the national team. That weakling Di Maria could have shot with more strength!

Messi, you don't need Argentina to win this thing. Just hire 10 hobos on the street, give them Argentinian ID and play on your own.

If the U.S. manages to beat Belgium, is it safe to call that an upset victory?

Belgium is two places ahead in the rankings http://www.fifa.com/...g/rankingtable/
Wouldn't be surprised if the USA wins, honestly. USA-Argentina in the quarter finals however...that'd be an upset if the US won.

Here we use the score after 90 minutes.
I tried to watch Argentina but ended up gaming with the match as background noise. As I head it I did not miss much..
I hope Belgium wins. It's nice the USA got this far but they don't have to be the best at everything. Plus if Belgium wins there will be a chance we will face them in the semi's ![]()
They have much better players than they have shown but the USA rely, as they should, on the entire team. It will be an interesting match to watch.
And, ofcourse, there is a gif of Germany's proudest moment:

I do understand this mentality, even as a American. But, at the same time, I think it would be so huge for the sport if the US were to get far this year. As a fan of soccer since high school (staying up late to watch broadcasts when the World Cup was in France, even being in France a few months before the games kicked off), seeing interest in the sport reach its highest levels ever here in the US has been awesome. I think it really has captured the country's attention more than anytime in the past and I think if we make it even to the quarter finals (let along the semis or the Championship) will really change the mindset of a lot of people here.
All that being said, it will always be soccer to us, because we already have a sport called football!

Being Dutch, I just to complain and football is an easy subject, especially concerning Americans but it is nice to see that it is gaining popularity in the USA. Looking at the sport mentality and sport education it is a huge potential source for good players.
It is again appearently easy to get on the field and I love how nobody seem to be in a hurry to get that guy:P
Plus I'm watching the match on the BBC (the Dutch commentators are really bad and the Belgium ones are way to biased) and I love how they try and fail to pronounce the Belgiums names ![]()

U.S. really needs to pull it together on the possession. They have some great talent, but it doesn't mean a fig if Belgium keeps retaining the ball for all these set pieces.

Just returned from Argentina-Switzerland, great game and the stands were awesome and packed with crazy argentinians.
Hopefully I'll manage to buy tickets to the semifinal game that will happen here in São Paulo!
