Damm. Hope it won't ruin his career.

It's just so depressing to hear. I knew it was bad just by looking at how much pain he was in but i did hope that it wouldn't be that bad but a fracture in the vertebral column really do suck so very much. Wish for a speedy recovery and that we'll soon see him back on the pitch being what he's been in the WC, a pretty awesome star

Just woke up to hear about Neymar. That sucks so much!  :crying: I really liked him in the tournament so far, and damn, with all that pressure. I mean, his country had these massive expectations in him and he just stayed cool and delivered good to great performances, that's impressive for a young dude. I wish for a speedy and complete recovery!

He definitely didn't deserve that injury and it looked pretty bad. Hopefully a safe recovery for him as soon as possible.

That's sad news. I was too sleepy to watch the Br-Co match last night, so I miss(ed) it.

Costa Rica have defended well, but this game really needs a goal for the Dutch to get Costa Rica to attack a bit more and open the game up.

Costa Rica is just never going to stop impressing me. They are actually holding their ground and giving their all to get everything they can from this game. Really playing with the material they got and doing it so well. Would love goals but i can just as easily watch this aswell

Congratulations! Indi evolved into Huntelaar!

No, seriously, Huntelaar would be an awesome Pokemon name.

Well played Costa Rica, so very close but not enough this time. Will absolutely miss them but this time the Netherlands just kicked some pretty impressive penalties and not much you can do about that

Argentina, Brazil, Germany and Netherlands on the semifinals of the World Cup. You can't get much better than this.

Yes in the end it’s the big four that make it.

Perhaps they will go home with the World Cup. I hope they win it now.

RVP had a bit of a nightmare tonight, he also looked a bit too much like the evil Superman from Superman 3. I blame that one Irish guy standing right in the middle of the Dutch fans. A big wall of orange with one guy in a green Ireland shirt messing everything up. Why he felt the need to wear an Ireland shirt to a Costa Rica versus Netherlands match I have no idea, but every sporting event seems to have at least one guy in an Ireland shirt, standing there looking gormless and overly red.

I just peeked at the results as I did not want to see the penalties....

Oranje won :o !

Costa Rica has come a long way and they fought for the win.

I'm happy the Dutch made it but if Costa Rica had won it would have been well deserved.

ORANJEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

So, the final game... my prediction is Oranje Vs Deutschland.

Brings to mind this song (absolutely terrible, eye-cancer causing video, and the lyrics are not necessarily my opinion either, but here it is):

RVP looks awful, it's as if his eyes are retreating deeper into his skull with every match. I wouldn't be surpised if he has empty holes instead of eyes next time. He was offside so many times today btw.

Random Irish guys are just trying to spread the luck of the Irish, right? :P

Penalties are bad for my heart and I can't believe we actually won. I don't know this Krul dude, the name did sound familiar but eh, well done mister Krul and Van Gaal. :D

He's basically your rising star goalie - young, anchored the Dutch youth team, etc.

So the old dudes in Netherlands team made it a penalty win for the team.

Well, there go my QF predictions!

-Argentina showed their street-smarts and experience. With all their attacking talent, Belgium had to resort to long balls into the box as they simply couldn't break Argentina down.

-Feel sorry for Costa Rica, but they can leave the WC with their heads held high.

-Louis Van Gaal is a brave, brave man. They don't make coaches like that anymore. He'll do well an Man United I think.

Alejandro Sabella is an apt metaphor for my predictions:

So I probably lost like 3 years of my life after yesterday's match. It was just too intense and exciting :P

Well played by Costa Rica. Their defence was excellent. At first we just couldn't find openings. Only countering seemed to be effective, but even that didn't always work.

I think this was definitely the most difficult match we have had so far. Hopefully Argentine will be somewhat less of a challenge :P

He looks haunted, like he's seen the horrors of war. But then he has spent that last 2 years looking at Wayne Rooney on a daily basis so that might explain it.

Possibly, but we aren't all that lucky. I think he was just there for the hot Dutch women, every time it showed one in the crowd they were a stunner. For the rest of the tournament I will be Dutch, Clarence Van Druus.
