Possibly, but we aren't all that lucky. I think he was just there for the hot Dutch women, every time it showed one in the crowd they were a stunner. For the rest of the tournament I will be Dutch, Clarence Van Druus.

Well, there go my QF predictions!
-Argentina showed their street-smarts and experience. With all their attacking talent, Belgium had to resort to long balls into the box as they simply couldn't break Argentina down.
-Feel sorry for Costa Rica, but they can leave the WC with their heads held high.
-Louis Van Gaal is a brave, brave man. They don't make coaches like that anymore. He'll do well an Man United I think.

So.. finally got to update the first post.

After a long time being the undisputed nr 1 bFootball dropped in the quarterfinals. CrazyRah is now first with Druss following on 5 points.

 

As for the matches:

Belgium was way too afraid of Argentina. They could have won the game if they had played their own game instead of going along with the excruciatingly slow pace of Argentina.

 

The Netherlands actually played good against Costa Rica, for the first time this tournament, and ofcouse, then they don't score.. That was a really stressfull match to watch here.. Luckily Van Gaal finally put our best keeper in the goal and because of him we won our first penalty shootout on a WC ever

 

 

Penalties are bad for my heart and I can't believe we actually won. I don't know this Krul dude, the name did sound familiar but eh, well done mister Krul and Van Gaal.

Krul is the goalkeeper of Newcastle United and he is waaay better than Cillisen. If it were up to me he would start every match..

 

And as always:

 

To the FIFA: Stop trying to make the Brazil - Argentina final happen, it won't..

Sounds like a literal translation for "Go for the win/victory". A more apt (and grammatically correct) translation would be: "Los Deutschland! Auf zum Sieg!" (literally: "Go Germany! For the win!").

 

 

 

Regarding the upcoming WC semifinal match Brazil vs Germany, I am curious to see how the loss of Neymar effects Brazil's offensive synergy. So far they've been running the show by counter attack or fast breakthroughs through the opponents midfield with Neymar. Fred so far didn't show much so I don't know how to gauge their new concept.

Germany on the other hand can run its proven formula without much impedient. And if they can play without the myriad of unnecessary ball losses and defensive mistakes of their defense and midfield, their short-distance pass combinations is quite dangerous to Brazil, nevermind their standard situation potency they've shown so far.

 

 

Personally I disfavour Brazil (yes, that wording is intentional), though for political reasons and as such will not go into detail.

Germany will make you play for sloppy defending on set plays.  That whole goal though was set up by a terrible giveaway further up field by Brazil that in the end resulted in the corner.
