Wow so we can be seeing Brazil-Spain in the second round.

I'm not sweating it if they keep playing this way. Copa de Confederaciones told me all I needed to know. But Spain is getting wrecked today.

Can't say that i saw it coming, 90 incredibly entertaining minutes and the result does provoke a bit of thinking on what to predict in the future

One of the most surprising results I've ever seen, Netherlands was really brewing the hate through the past four years. lol

As an Italy fan, it's hard not to feel a bit of savage pleasure at Netherlands making Spain squirm. Great game, gotta say.  :P

All I got to say is that Uruguay is gonna rock Costa Rica tomorrow and England and Italy should be a good match.

WTH?! I knew Robben + Van Persie + Sneijder triangle do great, but I realized the rest of the team is mediocre. Then we saw how Spain is like old geezers! Spain was tired and old. It was too old for this!

Germany will do the best. Have faith in Germany! But against Portugal it can be a draw.

Now I'm not sure about England - Italy. Maybe England can do better. Old teams can ruin predictions.

Okay, what the hell was that? I turn my attention away from the TV for a second, and next thing I see is Van Persie in front of an empty goal, Casillas watching from a distance. Then Robben does... that. 5-1 against Spain?!

Double post ftw!

So yeah, really looking forward to England/Italy and Germany/Portugal. I doubt we get madness like today, but these matches should be interesting nonetheless. England always used to be my favourite team besides Germany, but in the last years my love for them cooled down a bit.

Among the only rules I know about the championships is that England will always lose against Germany in important matches, just like Germany will always lose against Italy.

I hope the Portuguese gets rocked by Germany. They talk mad sh!t when Brazil loses where I'm from. I look forward to going to the Portuguese club with my cousins and my Brazil shirt on if they do lose LMAO.

Man, Spain was humbled.

Wasn't really expecting much out of the Netherlands during this tournament, but they might end up proving me and a lot of others wrong. Still, it's great to see a team with a lot of young, unproven players taking down the big dog.

Those crosses from Daley Blind. Dat RVP header.

Yeah, it seems the Dutch realised that actually playing against the Spanish works better than trying to kick them off the pitch. :P

With Chile up next I can see Spain failing to progress from the group now. That would be a shame, we wouldn't get to see any more of the goal scoring machine that is Fernando Torres.

Remember when you could actually take a statement like this seriously?

He used to be a beast. Now he's... now he's Fernando Torres.

The big really old dog, half of the players shouldn't be there anymore (honorable mention for Casillas).

I'm kinda glad that they're getting gored, you don't get to win matches by telling the opponent how good you used to be years ago.
