Found this and would like to share. It's simply perfect to describe what nearly everyone must have thought during the match.

I am kinda sorry for Brazil, that is for the team and for the sad fans. Not for the audience that was booing and leaving the stadium half-time. Too much emotional pressure for the Brazilian team, too much emotional stress, maybe too much dependence on players like Thiago Silva and Neymar Jr. The coach had completely given up minutes before the end when Brazil still had opportunities to improve the result. The team had given up - maybe because of the audience?

But please, be brave. Remember: the German team lost in 2006 at home, and more importantly lost against the team that later would become world champion. In the match for the third place, the German team won. And it was celebrated like the team made 1st place. The rules of attraction in a world cup at home are way different.

Stand up and fight (fair)! And be happy again.

I am very happy that the German team will have the chance to become world champion. The semi-final was unbelievable. Like some match from outer space. But I loved it. (German fan of the German team ^.^ )

That was absolutely ridiculous.Congratulations to that one guy who wast trying to trow his money away on this prediction, this was just crazy.

Germany played really well from the start, they played very agressive, going for every single ball but it was even better when they actually had it.. All perfect quick passes, no big ego's going for their own succes. Even when they were already up with 5-0 they kept all forwards near the midline and kept attacking whereas other teams just dig in when they score 1-0.

It's sad for the Brazilians but they really did not deserve to be in the semi's in the first place..

And I am very happy that Klose scored so that he is the sole WC topscorer and not have to share that with Ronaldo. However I do think that in 4 or maybe 8 years that record will be broken again by Müller.

Funny thing: I was at a party watching this match and a few guys were just leaving when they scored 2-0. In the end we had to call them back 4 times from the front door because the Germans kept scoring and scoring..

Yah... It would be better if we lost to Chile in the penalties... Damn.

I wasn't expecting Brazil to win, but I also wasn't expecting for us to lose in such an humiliating way. Jesus Christ, David Luiz crying at the interview after the end of the game killed me.

Oh, well. Life goes on

Humilliating, yes. That's what we remember now... Jesus. Couldn't they just hold into 3 or 4... But 7???

Not dependence... Felipão even said that the ball didn't even reach properly the attack... What could Neymar do?

But on Thiago Silva, I think things would be better with him...

Oh yeah, he did give up. But why? Here is an answer: He took 5 goals in, what... 4 Minutes?(Or the oposite, IDK)Point is... When he was telling the players to calm down and mantain the score and hope to turn tables on Germany, there were even more goals, one after the other. It's impossible to manage a team like that. You can't even finish speaking your sentence before another Goal Scores.

Yah, Germany lost. But not like this. 7X1. It was harsh for us. Humilliating. And many other words I can't describe.

PS: Thanks for your words of support. And Good luck on the finals Germany! Hope you do well and have a nice game VS Argentina/Netherlands.

I'm very sad for Julio Cezar. It was his last world cup and he had an acceptable performance in this cup, but poor defense line made it a hell for him.

Considering he got lucky that he didn't receive red for that trick he pulled against Colombia - no, I don't feel sorry for him at all.

I do feel a bit bad for the Brazilian people that had to endure this.. that said i'm going to enjoy this game a bit more just because i'm not so sure i get to see one anytime soon.. maybe

A few interesting facts I just saw the Official FB page for the German team post

• Germany are the first team to score seven goals in a World Cup semi-final.
• This is the biggest margin of victory ever recorded in a World Cup semi-final.
• Prior to tonight, Brazil had never conceded more than five goals in a World Cup game (won 6-5 v Poland in 1938).
• This is Brazil's biggest defeat in World Cup Finals history. Before tonight, it was the 3-0 defeat to Paris in the 1998 World Cup final.
• Miroslav Klose is now the all-time top scorer in World Cup history, with 16 strikes, moving one clear of Ronaldo.
• Germany have now scored 223 World Cup goals, two more than Brazil who are in second place.
• André Schürrle scored with his sixth touch of the game.
• There were just 179 seconds between Germany's second and fourth goals.
• Thomas Müller is the third player (after Cubillas and Klose) in history to score 5+ goals in two different World Cups.
• Müller is the 13th player to reach double figures for World Cup goals and the 5th German to do it.
• Thomas Muller has scored 10 goals and provided six assists in just 12 World Cup matches.
• Germany netted as many goals in this semi-final as they had in their previous six World Cup semi-finals (1982-2010).
• It is the first time since 1938 that Brazil have lost a World Cup semi-final, they had progressed in their previous six.
• Brazil failed to have a shot on target in the first half.
• Germany were 5-0 up faster than any other team in World Cup history (29 minutes).
• This game equalled Brazil’s all-time biggest margin of defeat (lost 6-0 to Uruguay in 1920).

So, I know this has nothing to do with the current World Cup, but I came across this old commercial again, which is totally my favorite commercial ever.

Directed by Guy Ritchie.

Check this out, this Brasil fan has class.

The man was holding a mock up of the World Cup trophy;after his team's defeat at the hands of Germany, he handed the trophy to a German fan.

This man deserves a standing ovation. It's like the ending to a movie, someone pls fund it.

Yup, same here. Although there were many shots of fans and players of Brazil alike that made me sad. I really wanted it to stop after the 4-0, it was just too much. If our team had kept on playing the second half with the same concentration and will it might well have ended with a double-digit result.

So yeah, condolences to all the Brazil fans here, I can only imagine how hard this must be for you guys!  :( Fingers crossed the team will have somewhat recovered by Saturday, so they can leave the Cup on a slightly more positive note!

Allright people, I think it's enough. The 1:7 was bad enough and we all had fun salting the wound with various memes. Let's get back to being fair sportsman (or sportsfans more likely for the most of us) and hope all the best for everyone in the tournament.

Let's see a good game, Netherlands and Argentina. Hopefully without theatrical diving everytime someone touched another player (looking at you, Robben).

I doubt there is a lot of people who said the Germans were heartless. And I doubt most Brazilians would blame the German team for anything other than for playing good soccer. They practically treat soccer as an informal religion and know good play if they see it, even if it's from someone who just took out their own team from their own world cup. Brazilians are larger than that when it comes to soccer.
