It'd actually a double mistake, since Silva should've got a red card.It wasn't a penalty, but a free kick...
Another bad decision by referees in this world cup.

Surely Brazil will win this? They have to save their pride.

And another Goal with being 4 defense and Cezar there!

So the referee did a favor to Brazil this way. Despite Thiago Silva remaining, Brazil is still playing crappy.

How can someone have that much time with the ball inside the box?

Even though we didn't make it to the final match with Germany, this one is sure as hell making up for it!

Congratulations to the Netherlands after an overall rather impressive run in the world cup and with one very well executed bronze game against a Brazil that more or less invented a new kind of pale because that was just sad to watch!

Haha. In my experience whenever a team suffers a blow like that they almost always throw in the towel.

I went asleep at 30s minutes. It seems I didn't miss much! Dammit... Brazil couldn't score a goal to give me the perfect points.

It still baffles me that when Brazil fired Mano Menezes in 2012 Pep Guardiola pratically begged to be signed and the CBF chose Felipão (who was fired from Palmeiras after the team was relegated to the brazilian second division) instead.
Great work!

You should sign him instead... at least you won't be worried about how many goals will you receive!

Brazil should've learnt their lesson all the way back in 2006's elimination to France. Instead, they kept a philosophy consisting of relying purely on the fortune of having several star players of the same age group (think 2002, 'Dinho, Ronaldo, Kaka, et cetera) and have been paying the price ever since. Their current coach was completely and utterly helpless when it became clear the midfield wasn't producing, and chose to rely on far-fetched long balls from David Luiz instead. See how well that turned out-- the worst defeat of the most successful World Cup side in history followed by a 3-0 loss that, was only not even more pronounced because the Dutch weren't as stellar as they were against Spain. First competitive loss in homeground in decades, first back-to-back losses in their home ever since 1974... And now Guardiola is at Munich, a place I wouldn't leave for Brazil at the moment, while they're stuck with an outdated coach whose methods have been found out again and again and again ever since the Confederations Cup.
Props to Germany for preparing this batch of players so well, and props to the squad itself for delivering when it really matters. To the Netherlands, too. Don't have the best team, but the efficiency cannot be denied. They've had a great World Cup, and Van Gaal is leaving for United on a high note.
Personally hoping for an Argentinian upset in the final, but if Die Mannschaft turn out victorious, I will also be happy. They earned it.

I'm going to go for the most popular answer and say he didn't take care of his body well enough. The talent is still there - I watched a number of his matches in the last Brazilian season and it was easy to see - but the speed, sharpness, reflexes? All gone. Too far gone for someone who's 34~35.

My hope was Germany would meet Oranje but that scenario was shattered when the Dutch lost. They did well in this WC and the lion roared in the last game.
Best of luck to Germany tonight and think that they will win the WC well deserved.

Thomas Müller needs 2 more goals to beat James Rodríguez. Also I hope Di Maria can play tonight.
