I just realized that we get any children in this game at all they'll most likely be all human.
There were both human and elven children in DAO.

I think he's referring to if our protagonist gets to have biological children, but in origins while all male PCs could have a human or at least half human half dwarf child, 1 origin made it possible to have a completely dwarven child. There were both human and elven children in DAO.
If you break America down into straight Caucasians and non straight Caucasians the straight Caucasians would be the minority... but that would also ridiculous.Leliana, Cullen and the woman on the right wearing gold (with a bun) seem to be major commanders of different parts of the Inquisition, but not companions.
Really, in the party, that leaves four humans, one qunari, two elves, one dwarf and one spirit.
So humans are actually a minority in the party, if you break it up into humans and non-humans.

Why? This thread says there's too many human companions - but most of the party aren't human. Their major complaint doesn't even make sense when you consider that the humans are also geographically and culturally diverse.
The humans that are there come from different nations (Orlais and Rivain, Tevinter, Nevarra, maybe something else for the Warden), representing different viewpoints, cultures, occupations and ages.
As if humans are the only ones who are culturally diverse? If half of the Inquisition was dwarves from different parts of Thedas I wouldn't consider it perfectly diverse. I'd consider it to be much more dwarven inclined than anything else. Just like I do with this team and humans, I'm not saying that it's completely unbalanced or anything. I'm saying that people are correct in saying that it has much more humans and human viewpoints than any other race. Why? I wasn't. I didn't remember that there were actually children of non-human races in DA:O, it's a good touch for any fantasy game to have them (Skyrim only has human kids). But that begs the question of where are the dwarf children?
No where to be seen, considering that there were no dwarven females in 2. If it was reversed it would tell a funny story of how there were no children because they just got females.I wasn't. My theory - and this is pure headcanon - is that dwarven children are sufficiently rare that they're considered precious and mostly kept protected in their homes and other safe locations until they come of age. Especially when there's brawling in the streets between factions going on when we visit Orzammar - all the kids are being kept well out of the way.
