Stupid, it shows the fighter breaking the knee of the fighter and then the other fighter kicks him back.

Ones a Demonic vengeful spirit, the other is an ice ninja who was turned into a robot in the last game.
Sense and logic was long gone before the leg breaking m8.

I'm used to Street Fighters and MvC fast pace combat, so it's probably gonna take a while for me to adjust. 

 

I'm hoping for them to expand Skarlet more. She's a DLC characters, but she has pretty sick skills. Asides from Tanya and Mileena, we don't have a lot of evil characters (At least, memorable ones). Even Sheeva is not completely evil. She only follows the command to ensure the survival of her race.

I don't see why Skarlet wouldn't return. They made a completely new moveset for her and gave her some interesting backstory. I'd be very interested to see how she comes into play this time around. 

 

I assume she'll be after Raiden for the killing of Shao Khan but will she join up with Quan Chi or serve as a wildcard?

Technically Raiden didn't kill him, it was the Elder Gods. Does Quan Chi even need more allies. Because of that incompetent Raiden, Quan Chi controls all the good characters. Zombie Liu Kang should come back and tears Raiden a new one.

Yeah, I thought MK9s story mode was ok. But Sindel killing everyone except Johnny and Sonya was a load of crap.

Anyone else think MKX should be about Scorpion finding out Quan-Chi killed his people and breaking free of his control, then going on a revenge path against Quan-Chi and Shinnok?

Seriously, if Sindel is that powerful, Raiden and Liu Kang would probably have gotten killed if they were there. Even Shao Kahn can't kill that many characters at once. 

 

I just notice that the people who survive on the good side also the weakest people. Johnny and Sonya are just normal humans. I'm thinking that the next game will be a rescue mission.

I never button-mashed, I always kept to 2 or 3 moves with a combination of tripping and uppercuts.

Scorpion should "recruit" the free souls to his side, one by one, to help him with his revenge and their liberation. It would also be fitting that he would want to free Sub-Zero since he killed his brother for a crime he didn't commit. 

 

And why couldn't have Sonya died?!

In the trailer, we see Subzero vs Scorpion, so he's no longer Cyber Subzero after getting resurrected? Thanks God for that. I always find the Cyber characters stupid. Scorpion without Subzero just seems pretty weird as well. 

 

 

Lastly, can Subzero WIN A FIGHT for once? Almost everytime they encounter each other, Scorpion wins. Scorpion is being the writer's pet, and it's getting annoying. Scorpion is the Liara of Mortal Kombat, it seems.

Seriously, Sonya doesn't have any important to the storyline at all. If they need a female survivor, couldn't it be Jade or Kitana? Preferrably Jade? 

 

As much as I love Johnny, how the Hell did he survive despite being one of the weakest people there?

 

Raiden was pretty much an idiot also. He could have sent something better than "he must win". He obviously couldn't say "Shao Kahn must win" or else they would have forfeit the match to let him win during the tournament. Instead of saving Earth, he should go to Oz to ask for a brain. I used to like Raiden but now not anymore.

Makes sense,
In the Prime Timeline Scorp became Subs guardian after learning that if I remember right.

If its obvious, Scorpion was my main in MK9, though sometimes I'd switch out to Freddy or Johnny Cage.
But Scorps move set works the best for me.
And his fatalities are generally the easiest to pull off.

I think MKX should continue with Shinnok as a "sorta" reboot of MK4

I also hope they finally move towards the One Being arc after that

Eh, I wouldn't really compare Scorpion to Liara. Sure he's the creator's favorite (can't blame him), but he's arguably the most popular and most iconic of the two along with literally being the face/poster boy of the company

So him winning in trailers is pretty much a given

My favorite fighters from my first MK (Ultimate MK3) were Scorpion, Cyrax, Nightwolf and Kitana.
