Except in Wow you do a rotation, since mashing randomly will make you lose a lot of DPS and Global Cooldowns.

 

If you really think MK9 is a game about button mashing, you're either:

 

A ) A noob who  get's his ass whooped everytime you play it

B ) An idiot who doesn't know how to play properly

 

I'm going with both options. You want to play a button masher? Play Killer Instinct on the XB1. THAT is a button masher. This is not

I loved MK9, it is my favourite MK game to date, and I played them all. 

 

I have high expectations for this game, I believe that NR can deliver another amazing fighter. 

 

Also, confirmed today, E3 will showcase the plot (which is a continuation of MK9, while also an original tale), 2 new fighters, and gameplay!

I think the best character of the series is clearly Smoke, because he can do this.

MK9 is the first fundamentally sound fighting game in the Mortal Kombat series, which is what makes it so good.

 

Although Ultimate MK3, despite its many flaws, did wind up being a viable tournament game pretty much by sheer accident.

Well there was a little obscure game that was a little better than UMK3 that came out in 2000 you mighta heard of it.

But like I said, REALLY OBSCURE.

 

Also, before Injustice the only DC fighting game was this abomination

I dislike 3D fighters and Street Fighter never really resonated with me.

 

Part of the reason why I like MK is because it's relatively simple.

 

UMK3 is a far cry from "best tournament fighter" though. Play anyone besides Smoke or Kabal? Get rekt. One combo and you're finished.

Yeah But this also came out between '95 and 2011

(And yes. This counts despite what Sakurai has said. Smash is built like a fighter and it is one. There is no other genre to place it in)

_{That gameplay was godlike   Love the new flow to the movements, you can tell small bit still need work like the standard text FIGHT and FINISH HIM. Those 2 new characters were cool, that Kid/Giant duo are definitely may favorite of the three shown. Hope they show more of that Aztec or Mayan looking guy who showed up near the end later}
