I'd like to think that my Hawke genuinely cared for her and that he encouraged her to be more independent and able to survive on her own.It would be nice to meet her again in DAI as a free woman, liberated from the chains of her past and calling no one master...Pretty much like Fenris.

Honestly, I could see her sort of taking over as Sandal's guardian after Bodann's death.

I always assumed that she died. If you send her to your mother she goes to the chantry and we all know what happens there, and I just assumed she was mugged and murdered before the end of the day if you told her to scram or gave her gold, not sure about if you kept her around though I've only done it once and the girl seemed to really hate it well not hate exactly but was maybe depressed? Idk I kind of got the feeling that she wished she was dead like her papa during the one playthrough I kept her as a servant.

Well he is getting old, not dead yet but wouldn't be surprised if he did expire soon.

Why did you people do this to me? I always thought she was safe and sound in Hawke's estate, naturally, until the dust settled, and then Hawke returned victorious as always and took care of things before leaving for good. Not to mention becoming the Viscount scenario.
Did you have to ruin it for me? ))

I hope that Orana would have tagged along with either Hawke or Bodahn after DA2.

@Maraas
How was it ruined for you? She's still in the house if you keep her as a servant if I recall correctly so you can come up with your theory of what happened to her if you like everyone has different ideas, I just happen to think that she got the short end of the stick no mater what but that's just me.

I always hired her. I figure over the years Bodahn and Sandal encouraged her to be more independent and that when those two left for Orlais she went with them. She has a gentle nature and Sandal likes her, so I can see him entrusting Sandal to her care. I'm sure Varric would have made sure Bodahn knew how to contact him.
I am quite sure none of my Hawkes would have dragged her around while on the run. Even if Viscount I think Hawke would encourage her to stay with Sandal because he needs her. And he likes her cinnamon rolls.

I always hired her. I assume once my Hawke ran off Charade (Gamlens not going in my will but Charade will probably support him) inherited everything in the estate, and kept her on.
At least that is my headcanon because it gives a happy ending to her and Hawkes final remaining relatives that aren't on the run with her.

Telling her to scram results in her working at the blooming rose.I always assumed that she died. Ah I see I haven't told her to scram before just sent her to the chantry or gave her money, well sounds like she still got the short end of the stick in that case.

Her demeanor even comes off as depressed, and you can pay for her. Even I found it to be pretty sad.Ah I see I haven't told her to scram before just sent her to the chantry or gave her money, well sounds like she still got the short end of the stick in that case.

Wow she never seems to win no matter what you do with her. Poor girls life was doom to end quickly or last in depression no matter what. Does she recognize you if you go to the blooming rose and pay for her?

I'm sure she gets plenty of long ones too

But I'd count you taking her in as a win for her. Even if Hawke tells her she's free to go outside she avoids it. Making me think that your manor is something of a safe haven for her.
She always seemed so sad to me and Bodann even mentioned how quite she was and something along the lines of her drawing into her shell so I always took it as her being depressed. Orana just seems to get a awful outcome all around at least it seems that way to me. She never seemed too happy in the manor just depressed and lonely.

I doubt that has anything to do with being in the mansion. Considering her past being withdrawn is not at all surprising. She always seemed so sad to me and Bodann even mentioned how quite she was and something along the lines of her drawing into her shell so I always took it as her being depressed. Oh I don't think it had anything to do with being in the mansion either I figured it had to do with watching her papa and maybe friends be killed in a horrible ritual and is unable to move pass that along with her withdrawn personality. I don't think keeping her as a servant and giving her a job hurt but I don't think it helped either.

I have experience with trauma. The best thing for her was plenty of time in a safe place and people she could trust and hopefully even care about. Working for Hawke offered both (someone to talk to about it would have been invaluable, but she seemed to focussed on serving properly to open up).Oh I don't think it had anything to do with being in the mansion either I figured it had to do with watching her papa and maybe friends be killed in a horrible ritual and is unable to move pass that along with her withdrawn personality.
