I see where you're coming from and I'm not questioning you experience with trauma. To me at least it just seemed very depressing to have her in the mansion to me at least she seemed like she wished she had died with her papa and it would have been nice to get an option to help her but since she was cooped up in the mansion and tried to focus so hard on her work I can't help but get the feeling like she isn't coming out of that slump I'm sure Bodann and Sandal did what they could to make her feel welcome but I doubt Leandra did and Hawke usually ignores her with the occasional hello. Guess what I"m saying with the rambling is I doubt we'll see her again unless she got help that she needed which doesn't seem to exist in DA but I have very limited experience with things like this.
Will we learn the fate of Orana?

meh if i hired her as a servant i assume i told the real estate agent who was arranging the sale of the mansion that she came with the house...but tbh i really don't care, i don't need closure on every single minor npc i met/helped/thwarted in the 2 previous games

I'm sure she was depressed for a while but I think she is also naturally quiet and shy. Also, sounds like Papa engrained in her a habit of not drawing attention to herself. Probably a smart move for a young, unmagical, non-lyrium encrusted elf in Tevinter. By Act 3 she's comfortable enough to move to the upstairs hallway instead of near the door. And I doubt your mabari let's her have a lot of quiet time. That's my take on it.
