I would rather the inquisiwoman walk like a human being than a sex object. I repeatedly pointed out in past threads, here and the old BSN, that the way she moved in-game looked like the exaggerated sway from the Baywatch ladies--and they were exaggerating how they ran on purpose because Baywatch was, beyond the lifeguard plots and stories, all about showing off the lifeguard characters' bodies.
The fact that Laidlaw was all about how "sexy" Lady Hawke was, is telling. Is there anything wrong with real-world people moving that way, or liking to do so? No. But in a game, it is intentionally sexualizing the character, and her movements just looked horribly awkward to me. I was actually embarrassed to play her. I finally got past it, but it's one of the reasons, along with Anders, that I didn't ever replay DA2. Sure, I COULD play the male version, but I don't want to--and it's especially galling that he gets to walk like an actual human being, and she gets to walk/run like a sexbot.
So: I'd rather there be a gender-neutral movement set, something in-between Linebacker Shep and Smexy Hips Hawke. You know, like... a normal person.
As for "talking and acting like a lady," well, there's really no set definition for that. And I'm glad, because I don't want my female character's dialogue to differ drastically from the male's. I don't want Anders to quietly avoid telling my female character something he'd tell a male character. Now the 'legs spread while talking to Garrus" thing is an exception, but really M-Shep should not have been sitting in that goofy pose either, I think. Made him look bored to talk to Garrus, in which case why was he even there talking to Garrus? But as for dialogue... there's really very few things that would be gender-specific. Mostly they involve pronouns and sometimes how other characters might be reacting differently based on your gender (i.e. if there's attraction). Otherwise, dialogue is and should remain gender-neutral.
