'Act like a man, act like a woman, blah blah blah' *roll eyes*

Every person has their own unique walking and all.... I'll admit, the way Shepard was sitting while in her dress was ridiculous as hell and they should at least fix that, but not many dudes sit with open legs. I've seen dudes crossing their legs and women sitting with open legs. There's no 'rule' on how a man or a woman 'should act'.

Also i gotta say, i hate how they copy the dude animations and paste them to lady. Let the female protagonist have her own mannerisms and not be a copy of the dude, please.

I would say otherwise. Why would a woman want to open her legs sitting in a skirt? Even in pants? Can mislead men.

Are you serious?

If that's so then it works the other way too. Next time a man sits with his legs open I'm going to feel "misled."

I am sooooo tired of female-anything having to be sexy.

*laughs casually* But Mes, making cat noises at a female character is a totally non-sexual response. Silly.

Um...what. Thats...if you're 'misled' by that then thats your problem. And its a BIG one.

Well on the bright side now we know who to back away from very, very slowly.

I thought I sent a reply here, must of cancelled myself.

Several of my relatives dont sit with legs closed. If I got misled by my sister then I'm really screwed in my head.

I know several women that dont and I do know some that do, also same with men, that sit with legs closed too. Seen more military women during my time in, not care how they sat either.

I can honestly say I've never been misled by anyone sitting down because unless they're getting their legs in my space I don't really notice peoples leg positions when they're sitting down.

Am I doing it wrong? Is staring at peoples crotches when sitting nearbye what you're supposed to do?

Walk like a girl?

Girly_Run_Paprika_4727.jpg

I want my femquisitor to walk like she's about to break someone's legs, not having a hair salon appointment.

Exactly, no mater how my Lady Inquisitor acts, what inspires me is how she get things done. Just like FemShep.

I thought FemHawke talked just fine, in fact I loved her voice -- The swaying wasn't as bad when she was wearing armor and it was step up from the awkward animations of Dragon Age Origins.

I would barely notice as meaning if they sit funny compared to what or how I seen them sit usually, then I would notice. Otherwise I dont make notice of it. Yes I know how they sit around me but dont really pay attention or care.

I thought it entertaining for a second that some girl rode a bull in a club, but shrugged it off. My friend even went up, seemed to be normal thing to do. I was more interested in watching the dancing moves.

I'm such a fan of the 'my treadmill is at an incline of one at the public gym' polite/awkward jog.

The way femshep ran when you're on the Citadel she would qualify for playing as a fullback on a football team

femhawke when walking  had her butt going from side to side like she was some model on a runway showing off a new dress.

Just have femquisitor walk naturally.

The whole football team walk with  femshep.is that she was an Alliance military trooper..who has been serving for what like 20 plus years. when she first join the baack when she was about 18.So no silly lady walking happen with her.. she was a soldier women, who was always more of a tom boy. it apply that always. how she was always soldier life first.. thats why she was bad at dancing ^_-. haha. but yeah i was fine with her fullback football team walking. My aunt is proud officer. who been serving since she was 20, retard now. after maybe 7 years ago. when I see her walk. that one time when i was playing mass effect 2 and 3. I look back. I was like. ha. yep that;s what solider does..   so anyone I was fine with mass effect femshep. because they capture the idea. it's set in femshep mind after 20 years of serving. my aunt still walks like a linebacker. back straight up and everything.  it was her life  for so many years.

femhakwe..i toke it as more.. that she was  a mix..   of things.. never truly fighter..tell she came to kirwalk. so even thought she was train by her dad, she still  live that life out of a solider one. The letter you get from overseas, in game. apply how she live her life.

some for the inquisitor i dunno..I will have to play the origin story..but  most likely they have sometime of fighting background.. just as DA:O had set up..  so they might be some type of walking..  i dunno..tell i play it//

I've clearly been missing out on some important cues all these years. And its a wonder how all my guests who arrive to see me sprawled out over the sofa relaxing managed to keep their hands off me

At the minute I'm sitting with my legs crossed at the ankles. Is there anything I should be worried about in this position? Maybe it indicates that I'm hungry, or might mislead men into thinking that I don't eat bacon? Life is suddenly so much more complicated :(

Lol, 'mislead men'. You think anything a woman does is to please men?

Plus i don't know any women who sit with open legs when they wear a skirt. As for in pants? Why the hell not a woman should not sit with open legs? Have you ever thought that sitting with open legs might be comfortable for her? Why must everything have to be for dudes?

Also are you implying men are 'animals'? Wow if so, then they should learn how to behave themselves. <_<

  • Locking ankles

Entwining the ankles is usually a signal of self restraint; It's similar to biting the lip, holding oneself from slipping another word. It can hide emotions of anger, frustration, fear or other negative emotion.

Men will usually lock their ankles beneath the chair and their hands will clamp into fists or grab tightly the armchairs. Females will usually close both legs and turn them to the side while their hands rest on their knees or to their side.

Or you could just have long legs in relation to the chair :)

Brilliant

In my case I think it's mainly that I'm all of 5'2" and my sofa is very deep. Unless I sit like a racing jockey my feet dont touch the floor so I have to do something with them
Either that or I'm subconsciously showing off the fact I really really want to break my diet and head for the junk food today. One thing or the other :D

I know women who sit with open legs in a skirt. They're usually people not used to wearing skirts/dresses who forget they're not wearing pants. It's not classy, but there are worse things to do

It happened to me at my cousin's wedding. Awkward. Glitching aside, I got a good laugh out of it when it happened to femshep because I could totally see it happen.

Women - Shoe play

Females have something a bit more sophisticated - the shoe play: While the shoe dangling off their foot, they remove and enter their foot back and forth into it. Such display can drive men crazy, because it reminds them of the repeated action during intercourse

Does anyone actually do this?

I've forgotten a few times  it doesnt help that I usually end up in groups of men, and I forget I'm not supposed to sit the way they do, because I dress differently :) also with bending down. I'd like to think I've learned my lesson with THAT one though :/

Not that I know of  then again I'm really not a big fan of feet. I am now rethinking my choice of backless sandals for my holiday though. If they start slipping off I don't want to drive the locals wild

Yep. That's what happen to me too. I almost never wear heels or skirts, so the few time I do, I end up looking like some kind of dockworker who crossdressed.

I'm always in company of man, and girls who are worse than me, and I've grow up climbing trees to steal cherries. I'm proudly the failure of my granmother at making me a well educated lady. :P

So, I really hope for normal, gender neutral poses for the females characters (I only had problems with the dress of Femshep, since I found it horrible). A little of sway is ok, since the form of the pelvis usually create a natural sway in a female walk (just basic anatomy: the female body is, after all, designed to bear children, so the pelvis need to be bigger than a male one, and after a pregnancy this is more visible), but is usually not very accented without heels. (not as in DA2, at least!)
