Hey, I was browsing through the main website and I noticed the picture of the mage looks... off.

 

In Dragon Age 2, when playing as a darker-skinned mage and wearing certain outfits (Robes of the Spiral Eye come to mind if I'm not mistaken) you'll notice that no matter what complexion the character is the hands will always be portrayed as a pale white. At first I thought they were gloves, but I was wrong, and I noticed that this bug only happens with certain robes. I tried to look past it, and even mentally dismiss it in my head as "a spell gone awry that accidentally bleached my hands." ... till I got a new outfit. It wasn't too big of a deal, but slightly broke the immersion as once I noticed the problem I couldn't not see it.

 

So now I see the preview image of the mage in Inquisition and it looks like the bug has returned; the mage has a tanned complexion but pale white fingers. (He's really swaggin it up with that pimp hat though. Nice work there, guys!)

 

 

 

If this bug is still there, I'm hoping it could be fixed before launch.

Given that it is a completely different game on a completely different engine using completely different art assets, I'd doubt this particular bug would re-emerge.

That is exactly what I assumed too.. But if you look at the picture at the mage's fingers relative to his face, the skin color doesn't match.

Maybe it is the shade from that hat that is making his face look darker?

That isn't an actual bug I think. It's a sleve that looks like a skin colour.

 

edit: Nevermind, that's another robe and not spirital eye.

Maybe his hands don't normally see the sun, and those gloves are new?

It's really not uncommon to have a darker skin tone on your face than the rest of your body. I mean...it's closest to the sun, and most likely sees more of it than any other body part.

That's my excuse for my white legs, anyway.
