I wonder if Conner will be hiding out there.....and he'll be all grown up. How the time flies.

He could even still be possessed.  Fun times!

I wonder if we meet Bann Teagan, will we meet his wife Kaitlyn if "A Missing Child" quest was completed and 5 sovereigns were given to her for the sword

That was all in an epilogue slide so I don't know if that's going to carry over.

I do typically give her the cash for the sword so that would be neat.

It looks great, but hopefully this is the extent of Ferelden in the game. I want to go to new places. Revisiting old places can be fun, but the vast majority of the game should occur in new territory.

My guess is that they'll stick with Red cliffe and maybe Denerim, but i agree, i want to explore Orlais

What if we go to places in Ferelden we didn't in Origins?

Bella and Lloyd. Cameo appearance maybe?  :P

I want to see Bella married to Teagan. And Lloyd looking fit and mayor of Redcliffe!

I could only do that once.

Teagan needs a woman like Bella in his life...not a teenage girl.

...Its not.  We go to several places in Ferelden in DA I.

I hate the fact we have to return to locations from DA:O.

I get why, but Redcliffe is preferable to Denerim, Ostagar or the Circle Tower.

I would probably gouge my eyes out if we had to reutn to the Circle Tower...

But he is sent to a circle out of the country.

I guess? They're all sort of the same to me - places I'd rather not be forced to go to, but sadly this is what we get.

What if Warden decided not to help Redcliffe? Shouldn't it be more... abandoned and/or ruined? People move and all that, but who would want to live in a village in which every single person was slaughtered by the undead?

People seemed to be fine with that kind of thing when moving back to the Blackmarsh after Awakening.

Probably it still has an abundance of whatever natural supplies let it flourish in the first place. Stuff to mine or stuff to farm or whatever. Towns and places pop up where money can be made and there's probably still money to be made there.

Worse than Redcliffe in my opinion. Redcliffe has the redeeming quality of being a city undergoing great change (no matter which epilogue slide you got) so there is the interesting compare and contrast. Other locations in Ferelden that we haven't been to is as close to an old location as you can get while still being new. Locations in Orlais on the otherhand are all new, plus different culture expands that further. Some small part of Navarra or the Free Marches would be great as well. (Free Marches is much bigger than just Kirkwall, so we've definitely seen less of Free Marches than we have of Ferelden).

That said I don't mind the opening being in the Sacred Ashes area since we haven't really seen much of that area and the natives (when they aren't crazy murderers or remind me of Leonidas) are distinct from normal Fereldens, at least according to the few codex entries we get on them.

But Denerim I don't want (I want Val Royaux for the big city), Amaranthine I don't want (DAA had that plenty), and Orzammar I want a little, but I'd prefer visiting Kal'Shirok or maybe even a newly recovered Thaig (like if success at Ka'Hirol made the dwarves want to expand even more).

I wonder if we'll see Arl Eamon. Teagan has a lot of titles/duties. An ambassador, an Arl, Alistair's road buddy on needless trips to Kirkwall...I wonder how the man finds time to do all those jobs. Happy to see Redcliffe again but I'd like to see Vigil's Keep/Amaranthine.

If I'm not mistaken I believe Teagan has became the next Arl.

It fluctuates depending on 3 or 4 choices from Origins (Connor, Redcliffe, if Warden is Chancellor, if Alistair is King)

OMG! It has grown and looks great!

Do you think we will get to see amaranthine or vigils keep?

The  trailer does show the inquisition attacing a warden stronghold, not the keep but still....it would be cool.

According to The Hinterlands new, yes, several villagers left Redcliffe to settle in another place.

Of course, I think they can explain things easily.

-The Warden saved the village? Yes! Victory! But too many bad memories, so many people left. Not everyone, though, since it's still their village. The place has enough people to go on, but it could have more.

-The Warden abandoned the village? Oh, no! Tragedy! But there are resources and buildings that you can use, and the castle is near, so new villagers settled. The place could have more people, but it's enough to go on.

Same setting, but a single line of dialogue can change our perspective.

Denerim was never particularly interesting as a city and Ostagar and the Circle Tower are just empty ruins now. There are a number of decisions made in Redcliffe that could affect the place greatly.

It looks graphically improved, but I have zero enthusiasm returning to Redcliffe. And to be honest, I don't have that much enthusiasm to return to Ferelden at all. It was and is a pretty standard fantasy kingdom (semi-rustic variety). The events and characters of DA:O + Awakening made it fun, but as a fantasy country it was and is pretty meh. I do see some potential value in it for people who like that 'sense of recognition' returning to their old haunts, but honestly I think it's a waste of resources that could have been spent on genuinely new locations / countries.

I did it once with my evil character, but I wouldn't use that setting for my first playthrough of DA: I.  There's quite a bit of unique dialogue around abandoning Redcliffe in DA: O, though, if you're curious.

Is this your recorded footage??

Oh and about Redcliffe. It looks alright, nothing I'd scream about, hopefully made it super huge and kept the essence of the location.

Lol, no.  That youtube channel has a lot of footage from Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and other games.  It's a good reference if you want to see additional content.
