I guess? They're all sort of the same to me - places I'd rather not be forced to go to, but sadly this is what we get.

I just remembered the line I kept hearing from a few people here "this is not DA:O 2 we're playing". Sure...

Lol, no.  That youtube channel has a lot of footage from Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and other games.  It's a good reference if you want to see additional content.

Ah OK, cause if you said yes, I was gonna say "Dude! I watch your videos".

so we get to go to redcliffe and meet teagan's harem, bella, kaitlyn, and isolde (you know he hit that while we went to go find the urn after saving red cliffe)....  and maybe a few elven "servants"

"Bless you Teagan....*sniff*...bless you...."  It all makes sense now.

Seriously I would love to see Isolde again just to see her reaction to the Inquisitor.

"Who EEEEEES this man/woman Teagan???"- reaction to human Inquisitor.

"Not ANOTHER elf/dwarf..."- reaction to elf/dwarf Inquisitor if the Warden was the same race.

"What EEEEES that Teagan???"- reaction to Qunari Inquisitor.

*Isolde romances Inquisitor regardless of race*

"Bless you Inquisitor...bless you..." I can see her saying that. (Okay I'll stop).

Why do people think we'll see Connor?

He's either dead, missing/possesed, in the Circle or studying in Tevinter. In none of his epilogues would he be anywhere near Redcliffe.

If we don't help Redcliffe the veil becomes thin there. I think it'd be interesting if the town is somewhat abandoned and there's a huge tear their that your Inquisitor can eventually fix.

Redcliffe isn't the only location in Inquisition by a long shot, we may still run into Connor even if it's not at Redcliffe. I let him get possessed by the desire demon in my playthrough, and I would love an opportunity for my Inquisitor to kill the demon in this game - one way or another.

Its not though, we are getting introduced to far more new areas (so far) then old ones.  Only old area which has been revealed, to the best of my knowledge, is Redcliffe itself.  I mean we know about the Temple of the Urn of Sacred Ashes and we COULD be seeing Orzamar, but that is 3...in what like 20?

Is this your recorded footage??

Oh and about Redcliffe. It looks alright, nothing I'd scream about, hopefully made it super huge and kept the essence of the location.

If that castle in the distance is Redcliffe Castle, it doesn't look like they went for the same scale. In DA:O the castle is on an extremely high, sheer cliff wall with an extremely large body of water (Lake Calenhad), with large ships appearing even quite tiny in the distance. I don't see that same scale here... Unless the castle is like insanely humungous and very far off in the distance.

Though I will point out that I like color palette in the new Redcliffe much better... DA:O Redcliffe looked like it belonged in Fallout 3.

My, my, Redcliffe, you sure clean up well.  That Blight phase was so unsightly.

No.

She could go to Denerim to open her own brewery or on the Wardens's suggestion, become Teagan's maid or even become the new owner of the Tavern

Oh right he only marries her if she goes to Denerim and you don't give kaitlyn the money to go to Denerim.

I've never done the deed myself but I wonder how different it would be if we let Redcliffe get annihilated in DAO.

I'm planning on having a playthrough or keep preset where I do just that.

I bless the keep for letting the too easily guilted like myself import things I don't want to do again in a DOA run (tried letting the village die once in an evil run...man I was sad when the named zombies came at you).

The layout of the castle and its silhouette are also radically different. Assuming it's Redcliffe it now looks more like a fairly standard pseudo-Anglo-Norman castle circa 1150-1200 (rectangular keep and all). The old one had a more interesting and imposing silhouette, even if it was graphically not that great.

I hope so!

And I'm hoping either Lloyd or Bella is still running the place. I want my Inquisitor to have an ale at Warden's Rest, while he shamelessly flirts with Bella.  B)

I never really studied it before but that looks obscenely large. Full on Castlevania/Resident Evil 4 right there.

I guess it depends if you made him fight (he probably dies) and gave her enough money to run to denerim (she marries Teagan if Kaitlyn didn't)

More importantly, if I intimidated lloyd into giving me co-ownership that place is MINE, MINE!

It would be nice to see the dwarf, Dwyn, if he still lives in Redcliffe. It would be nice to see Owen, the blacksmith, with his daughter, Valena. Maybe she got  married and not living in Redcliffe.

Dwyn would be a nice addition to the Inquisition military

Yep, the scale is completely off. When you enter the castle it doesn't really match the silhouette either.

Radically redesigned Redcliffe is pretty big too, though. I wonder if it's going to be fully explorable - I suspect a lot of it will be inaccessible.

Why do we think Teagan was involved with Kaitlyn??

It's possible for them to marry in the epilogue, if the Warden gave Kaitlyn 5 gold for her grandfather's sword.

The young woman Kaitlyn eventually made it to Denerim safely, and used the small fortune she received for her father's sword to open a foundry while the city rebuilt. The foundry did well, turning her into a wealthy and respected woman. By chance, she met Teagan again at court--and within months, the two of them married.

Potential epilogue slide if you paid her for her grandfather's sword.

Yep, and always pleasant thoughts. However I prefer the slide that comes in if you use the sword in battle and then return it.
