Never use geth scanner.

 

Wallhacks were only cool when Geth had them and no one else.

Never used the scanner gear in a solo, but I did run a few fun "troll solos" using geth characters, just shooting stuff through walls with drill rounds. I play a lot of duos with a buddy of mine and use the gear quite a bit in those, makes for much smoother runs if one of us calls out the enemies in advance.

All the time. There's other gear I'd rather use the slot for in a solo...not that I solo all that often.

Geth scanner wasn't in the game for most of my time soloing, only had 5 ops packs and 5 rockets as well. Geth scanner has made me worse of a player though because I never used to depend on seeing through walls to know where the enemies are.

I agree with Salmon that Geth Scanner has made me a worse player but with all the BS this game throws at me, I do not feel bad for using it on 100% of my solos since. 

 

I've done solos without it and I'm sure I could again, but why doe.

On topic, pretty sure I did a solo not too long ago, that I posted about, without geth scanner. Or does it not count because I wiped?

1 or 2 of mine have it but other than that I hardly ever use it. Dont like to rely on geth scanner.

Never really used it. Tried it twice and it was slow in highlighting enemies. I found it better to rely on audio and visual cues than the highlighting. A weapon amp gear would be more useful

I was going to post some clever comment about how I always solo without geth scanner... on geth or grenade classes. I'm sure nobody else thought of the same thing, so I'll go ahead and post it. Oh wait...

No. I can't solo without Geth Scanner.

I rely on reading the enemies movement and acting accordingly, I can't do that without Geth Scanner.

I'm not ashamed to admit that it is my crutch.

I've used it 5 or 6 times and completed 37 solo masteries. It's more fun without although I admit most of my wipes are to phantoms.

It seems I'm actually pretty much the opposite of a lot of people. I oftentimes use geth scanner in gold/plat team games, but not in solos. That gear box is too valuable to give up, whether it's extra rockets, ops packs, grenades, etc whatever I feel like I need. Geth scanner is definitely not necessary for a successful solo on any difficulty.
