It's that time again. E3 is in a few days and is sure to contain a lot of spoilery goodness, and these forums are going to get crazier and crazier in the last few months before release. How long do you plan on sticking around for?

For anyone who is considering going on a media blackout, make sure to keep an eye out for:

  • Dragon Age Keep (release date unknown) - cloud save system for importing into DAI
  • The Last Flight by Liane Mercer (August 12) - a book focused around the history of the Grey Wardens. Will likely contain valuable background information for their actions in the game.
  • The Art of Dragon Age: Inquistion (same day as the game) - art book for the game. I'm guessing those on a blackout will want to save this for after the game. :P

Naw, there won't be huge spoilers. Even when gamers found Meredith turns evil files (her red glowy form) from the demo it didn't really spoil much, we didn't know what it was or why so /shrug.

I'm not blacking out except for a couple of days between release and the day I get the game.  I do however keep saying "Don't want to know that!"

I'm sticking out until after E3 at least. I'm also curious as to who won the voice-over contest.

i'm trying to black out some things but it's hard  ...I don't want to know more about the story and characters than i already do. I'm already a bit dissapointed i know most of the companions and know about the explosion.

Things like release date for the Keep or just screenshots are fine, but i'll try to skip story trailers...

No.

Spoilers don't ruin games for me. In fact, they make me want the games more.

It's hard, but...I did a total media blackout for DAO.  Honest to goodness, the only thing I knew about the game was the fact that it existed.

Absolutely worth it.  I wouldn't have enjoyed the game nearly as much as I did otherwise.

Honestly, going back and reviewing all the promo material for the game, it makes me wonder why they did some of the things they did...like spoiling the Broodmother.  Doing that was absolutely unnecessary.  That part in particular is such an intense experience if you're not expecting it.

Will stay around for E3 info. Will sure desert the forums weeks before the release since there are always immature brats who starting spilling the beans to annoy others. Whether it's true leaks or not, overall, the negativity will spread around and things will go south from there.

Will be back after beating the game though.

Yes, but probably not until a month or so before the game's release. I only want to avoid the heavy plot spoilers that often start to show up close to release time. I might go on blackout earlier if I've already learned the few more things I want to know about the game.

(In no particular order: How does the tactics system work? What are the Grey Warden and Scribbles' actual names? Is that really Dorian and Cole? What are the other specialisations like? Can I romance Varric? Can I ride a pony?)

 Can I ride a pony?)

Might be only me but I would like to have a Bronto as a mount for my Dwarf PC.

I'll hang in there till the near end. I have to else the waiting becomes unbearable without some knowledge. Employed same strategy waiting for Skyrim.

Eh. I'm pretty good at avoiding large story spoilers so I'll be fine without a blackout.

No.  Bioware works too hard on these things to do such a mean thing.

I mean, if everyone suddenly did a blackout, the devs start feeling sad.

And when devs start feeling sad, they blow up their work and go start working on Call of Duty (*throws up*)

I did plan to. But then I realised I am too weak. I feel drawn to these forums like a moth to the flame.

I'm gonna be an active member on these forums til release.

Then I'll come back once I inevitably get stuck on something and need help. :P

E3 stuff and official releases I'll follow, but these forums get a bit spoiler-happy and even more whiny than usual in the run up to and around release, so I'll probably disappear from here between about August and completion of first playthrough :)

No. I'd love to have the willpower to stay away, but I really really don't. I love the info far too much. I will, however, try to go on a blackout once DAI is released in North America (I'm in the UK). Don't want the game ending/major details spoiled as happened with Origins and ME2. We'll see, though. It's so hard to not be here when there's loads happening!
