Only if there is a massive and sudden dump of spoilers; and I mean excessive spoilers like when DA2 and ME3 were about to come out and people had data-mined the demos. I get antsy enough about "messing up" my choices when I'm actually playing the game & aware of the context of my decisions...I don't need the temptation to peek beforehand.
Will you be taking a media blackout for DAI?

I'll probably go on blackout at the very end, depending upon how early people get a hold of the game or perhaps the demo and start reverse engineering the script out and such. I don't call what Bioware officially releases spoilers but I don't want to know endgame stuff or major twists and turns.
Basically once the "OMG CASSANDRA WAS THE BAD GUY ALL ALONG " BS starts I'm out

I may peak in every once in a while, but I plan to try to stay away from september onwards. And I will especially stay away during October until I finish the game myself.

I'll definitely stick around, right up until release in North America anyway. What I'm wary of is the gap between NA and EU/UK releases, I avoided just this period for ME3; logged back in once I'd played the game for a while on the Friday and all hell had broken loose. **crosses fingers for no repeat**

With all the information that's come out thus far, I think it's too late to go on one now. We've gone too deep.

I may go on blackout. I kind of did it for the past two. DA2 (kind of) introduced me to the games, but I bought DAO first, played it, etc. Did a little research on both to see what I was jumping into, don't think I spoiled a lot, really depends on the person/game.

No.
I won't see as many spoilers as when I play the game as they will show.

Unfortunately, a week before the game is released I'll be heading out for a six month long research project in the boonies and won't be playing the game for a long time
So, all the pre-release info is kind of my substitute.

Will definitely do this. I don't want to risk any spoilers whatsoever.

This is my pattern:
- Promise myself I'll do a total blackout from, like, today.
- Fantasise about how good the game will be now that everything will be a total surprise
- Get childishly excited
- Take a peek at the forum JUST to see if the game is shaping up the way I'm imagining (specs and combat features, and so forth)
- See something I'll regret seeing
- Curse the forums, and myself
Rinse and repeat. Over and over again.
For months.
Seriously, this long release has been the slowest torture EVAH!

If you are trying to avoid being spoiled I think the most important place to avoid is the BSN. *Most* of the gaming journos and the marketing try to avoid dropping anything too spoilery. That isn't to say that spoilers haven't found their way into either news articles or advertisements in the past, but for the most part they are fairly safe. The people most likely to spoil the story for you are other fans. No matter how many times people are warned to keep spoilers out of thread titles, there will always be nitwits who do it anyway. Some are just garden variety trolls, others are clueless morons. The only way to avoid both is to stay off the message boards until you've completed the game.

Since i'm not receiving my copy on Day 1, yes, I will avoid internet until I receive package. Once I receive package, I will have no problem avoiding spoilers since I will be too busy playing to even peek at tumblr tags.

I am adept at taking everything with a sufficiently large grain of salt that I never really get spoiled.
WAS THAT AN AWESOME PUN OR WHAT.

Hell naw, I'd have to be incredibly busy. Vacay, hanging out with friends all the time, work, etc would keep me away from the media other than that, I'm drooling over every bit of juicy information and E3 can't be further away. I never wanted Monday to come faster than this(well, it is summer sooo..) Come on Mondays!

Monday, Oct 6, through the next-100-plus-hours-of-game-play. That's my "black-out" period. ![]()

Media Blackout? No way I can't even seem to stay off these forums for more than a day at a time.

Negative.
I'll be holding off until the last minute to to order the game if I do at all.
There have been too many high profile releases over the last few years that have not been worthy of CE pre-orders or even day 1 purchases.
GIVE ME ALL THE INFOS!

Not looking for major story spoilers but would like more general information on the game. Once game is released I normally keep away from forums until I finished at least once.

I don't think I could if I wanted to.
Which I don't. I love the hype that finding info here brings.
Besides, spoilers don't bother me at all.
