Sometimes I use my friend's account for few games just to farm him some gold.

I noticed many newbies will quit the platinum lobby if all four players look "newbie", but they will stay if at least 1 or 2 players look decent.

I also troll PUGs by not playing with them at all. I let them think they're about to be blessed by my presence, and then I leave.

Whenever I jumped into a platinum pug that none of them are using consumables nor reasonable weapon setup (For example, ADAS+ HVB, so common to see this setup among newbies), if I am not in the mood of carrying, I always pick AIU + lvl4 consumables and then press space bar to start.

After the game is started I quit immediately.

This is the dumbest thing I've read on the forums in awhile.

I had Rusty unintentionally trolling me earlier, his Collector adepts fat head kept getting in the way of my grenades resulting in them flying behind us. I'm just glad there's no friendly fire in this game

I mean, during a game, even if there is someone who dies a lot and often, I don't go out of my way to troll him or her, and even revive him/her or help him/her whenever the situation requires.

 

I don't know, and I really am not trying to sit on a high horse here, and I understand that some might seem like asking for it but... I don't know, I just never do it.

I've locked an entire team in the reactor, killed them, then left the game.

 

I've golf-putted a possessed abomination with a kroguard heavy melee into team members and dropped 2/3 of em. (the third died .461 seconds later...)

 

I've hatesurfed a possessed abomination and trolled myself for "teh lulz". I actually did L.O.L.

 

But honestly? I'm sorta with LaughingBanana after doing all this. I get more enjoyment from the game by helping people than I do trolling em. If I see someone struggling but honestly trying, I'll move heaven and earth and waste missiles and ops packs to revive em.

I *do* shake my head if I see people not equipping consumables/equipment or bringing low-level characters in Gold matches though, and sometimes I even backed out of the lobby a couple of times due to that, especially when there are more than one guy/gal doing those things, but once the match begins I always try to do my best to be helpful to everybody. Yes, even to those that I shook my head at during the prep screen.

 

But I have only played 143 hours so far... maybe I need to play another 357 hours first before starts becoming jaded, hahaha.

As with so many things in life, it's about finding the happy medium. You can troll your teammates and be nice to them, and have fun doing both. Going to one extreme is mean, going to the other is boring. And besides, if you don't cook them in the reactor, they might think you don't enjoy playing with them, and then their feels might be hurt.

Pretty much. My first thousands hours were devoted to trying to defeat the Reapers, everything after that has been devoted to trying to defeat the pugs. Conventional means just won't work.

The only time I troll is with missle glitchers! I stand in front of them the whole match, and if an objective is pizza = game over, otherwise I try to help. The abomb thing happens but its not intentionally and I'll revive them, even if it costs me a missle or ops..

I usually don't troll, except messing around with friends sometimes. Detonating Abombs or using lash on a target when a vanguard's about to charge it always makes me chuckle. That sort of thing.

 

However the other night this noob kept jumping in front of my line of fire. Not once, not twice, but over and over. Every damn time. So I thought 'game on, a**hole'.  So the rest of the game all I did was follow him and launch my recon mine right next to him then detonate it. Blinding that sucka!

Having to change platform and start over also works.

 

I only troll when I know that extraction will happen. Also, I have to be in a good mood, otherwise there will be no trolling. You may not even see me for the entire match, I'll be on the other end of the map. How to know if I am in a good mood? Check if I rage-gel. If I do, I am not in a good mood.

I had a hilarious pug today and we were tolling each other with our Furys. Collectors on white and every wave with abominations, we would just sit at the LZ throwing them at each other. It was hilarious, because we didn't really have to do anything cuz the other 2 players were AIU Reegar and TGI Harrier. So much fun for a tryhard lobby
