Recently I added a new eye texture and while it worked great on Shep. Now the eyes on Liara and James looks really dark. Can anyone give me a solution to fix this. w/o having to reload everything.

What was the texture? (name) and i take it you tried to install it via TPF ToolS?
You really need someone like Ottemis or one of the other big modders to tell you which files to change back
Eye textures really need to be run from Texmod unless you are 100% sure the matching is correct in TPF Tools.
If someone can confirm that it is Eye_Lens_Norm/spec and Eye_iris_norm i will zip them up for you and you can install them again in Texplorer.

Yup. Putting together a tpf to rectify the problem for you. Just testing it now.
It's going to take a few minutes as eyes appear in nearly every pcc file and there are 5 parts to this to rectify. Be as quick as possible.
IF it works you will have to run this tpf through TPF Tools.

If you don't know how to do it then click 'load tpf'

Click 'Analyse with Texplorer'
Click 'Run Autofix'  > 'Yes'

Click 'Install Valid.

Sit back and wait.... then ok. Update your PCConsolTOC.bin and you should be fine.

TPF File Here

For future reference it is best to not run facial textures in anything other than Texmod. At least not until you understand fully how to change DDS file format, how to add mips and how to change the location TPF Tools is using.

The ME3 Character Texture Overhaul by ELE08 features functional HR eyes, alongside new textures for the male and female CC facial complexions and lots of other character centric tweaks. That one was created to be compatible with the toolset and is safe to apply. It's a good idea to rectify your current problem first though.

Problems usually come from the master eye file as the diff has two versions that look identical but one does and the other doesn't have an alpha if I'm not mistaken. It's been a while.

Hmmn.. Just tried that myself and TFP tools threw out an exception error. I am adding the error to the Explorer forum.

Mr KFreon says that the selection logic is messed up and will be rectified in the new version he is writing, so for the time being it would probably be best to still use Texmod for the character overhaul unless you manually extract the dds from the tpf and install via texplorer yourself (Which i did :) )
