I know the human mage Inquisitor isn't an Amell but I love that family line and still am intrigued to found out more about them. Specifically about Revka, the mother of the human magi Warden and I want to find out about the other Amell children that are(is it more appropriate to say were?) in other circles in Thedas. Maybe their at some mage war camp or in hiding. Who knows? Am I alone on this or are others out there still wanting to know more about the Amells?

I don't need it expanded on, mostly because the first appearance being important isn't so for everyone. However it could have been a nice nod if the Human Inquisitor was an Amell. It also could be a neat thing to see the surname pop up again in non-PC circumstances.

Bah. With Hawke and siblings on the run the only Amell worth talking about is Charade. I wish I could have invited her to live with me after getting abandoned by one sibling and our mother died.

Yeah, same. I really wanted her as a companion in this game.

Couslands!

I love the Couslands but there isn't much more to explore. They're powerful family in Highever that are just below the King. The Amells have some loose ends that need to be tied.

I think there is more room for the Couslands to expand. The family has a very long history with the Theirin's dating back to Calenhad. They have fought with and against the King's of the Theirin line and have held the Teyrn of Highever since the Elstan family line went dead. They played a role in the rebellion opposing King Arland. I definitely see the Cousland family one day holding the throne.

The Couslands date back to Flemeth/Connobar.    I recall reading in the wiki that  The Cousland ancestor worked under Connobar. He survived Flemeth's revenge and inherited EVERYTHING.

I will NEVER stop believing that Flemeth kept Fergus alive after being attacked by Darkspawn.  Since the Cousland's date back to Connobar...I do think there is a connection.

I am aware the Couslands are older than what I said. I said they have a long history with the Theirins, from fighting to working with them.

They are a family that produces a lot of mages. What else is there to find out? And by that I mean what makes them more important than any other family?

I feel like we actually know a helluva lot about the Amells. A lot more then we know about the Trevelyans or the Cadash families at least.

I don't think the Trevelyans are a family that comes from nobility.

The magical reproductive organs that produce so much magic, obviously.

I like the Amell family. I had hoped that a human mage in Inquisition would be somehow related to them. The inquisitor could be a cousin or something like that. While I don't need any deep exploration of the family or their history, I would certainly appreciate a reference. They handled that nicely in DA2.

Aren't the Amell almost extinct in the male line?

I'm sure there will be some Amells, because BioWare loves their dumb self-references, but I don't really care what happens to the family at large, they aren't very interesting.
