Of course they're basically the same, they ARE human relationships.
I was talking about the SUBTLE differences that make the things truly believable. But I've already given my final thoughts on the matter.

Rofl if only all of you guys would just be honest about it. No one believes your "ITS UNFAIR TO HOMOSEXUALS RAWAR". From now on just be like "I WANT SOME LESBIAN ACTION DAMNNIT", and im sure you would get more positive responses
I've been saying that for years now. Don't know where you've been.
I'm with you there! Being a sexist straight male, if I am going to spend hours staring at a shaking animated butt as it lunges side to side while dodging enemy fire then I want it to be a nice and shapely bottom on a curvy body with a pair of female mammaries attached. And because of my shallow sexism I want my fem-shep to beable to have classy relations with another female, or female appearing, character. Is that really so wrong?
Gimmeh some lesbian action!
And to all the "gay" haters out there... never really had a problem staring at a guy's butt for 40 hours? Really..? Not even a little?
Yea I don't know about anyone else here, but when I play a male character I don't stare at his ***.

*sigh* before the game comes out there's 30 topics about it. It's fianlly confirmed not to be in, and there's 30 topics about DLC. It's not in...get over it. Stop making seven topics about it, destroying any decceny the forum had left.
Next stop 30 topics about it having to be in ME3. Then again seeing it will be like 2 years for ME3 make that more like 500+ topics.

Good try though
So, you want to say BW writers lack the 'imagination' to write a same sex romance?
Oh dear...
Interesting, considering that they have done it in the past. They've written some dang good ones.
And, what about homosexual writers that write good hetero romances? Or, is that impossible as well.
Well i can see a F/F romance alot easier than a M/M romance.since you couldv already done it with liara what so bad about doing it with samara. WAAAAAAA i want my blue chicks
Samara's a Justicar who's sworn off kids and sex. The end of story.

You have played Dragon Age, I see. I guess you didn't play any of the homosexual romance options that the BW staff wrote. They were very good...and believable.
That's what writers do sometimes. They write about characters that have nothing in common with them. Well, unless they are writing their autobiography.

Mass Effect is what it is, let's leave well enough alone. Demanding homosexual relationships in Mass Effect is like asking George Lucas to rewrite Star Wars for the gay community.

She's sworn off kids. Not sex.
Read her 'Universe' entry
Mentions children and not sex.

Create a little hype, stir up a little curiosity, ruffle a few feathers, get FOX News to do an exlusive of how BioWare is corrupting American youth and this DLC would sell at record numbers.

Again, I'm going to have to disagree with you there Jlb - those romance options were horrific. I made this sorry Dwarf you see in my profile picture have m/m sex with Zevran for the achievement. I'm currently attending psychiatric classes to try and forget, but I just can't seem to get the image out of my head.

No, I didn't go fully into a homosexual relationship. I did flirt with Zehvran though, Morrigan was NOT happy at all, lol!
Now, I do know for a fact that the ME teams and the DA teams are two totally seperate entities, as are their writers, and I'm damn sure that they had some homosexuals working in the DA:O team. They probably worked on Jade Empire too.

Okay, I've been following these threads and have made a post of two usually somewhat in jest while staying on topic and not entering any flame wars. But I've just got to ask here. Decency? I've really got to know what you mean by the decency that these forums held.
There are numerous Gay, Lesbian, Straight, Bisexual, Pansexuals, and etc here simply asking for an option that should have been in the game to start with and was expected considering the history of the company's previous games. Granted some of the posters are getting rather rude but the mud slinging is coming from both sides of the fences.
The number of threads that some constitute "spamming" is no different than all the numerous relationship threads, companion requests, equipment complaints or etc. And its nothing compared to the numerous threads there really were being spammed that violated a certain non-piracy discussion. I am sure a good number of the threads keep being made because people are feeling their voice lost in the sea of flaming on both sides. If things were being kept civil and people felt like what they were saying was actually being seen by people instead of skipped over for the next flame assault then they wouldn't have to run off and make another thread.
You may not agree with it, there are times when I don't agree with it. But does that mean you or I had to play it if it were there? Let's just keep it all civil.
P.S. gimmeh some lesbian action for mah fem shepard.

Well, I do know that the ME team and the DA:O team overlap on some writers and share ideas with each other.
I don't see how you can assume BW had homosexual writers on DA:O and JE just because there was homosexual content.
I think you are begging the question to prove your point.
