Why this step backwards. It's an RPG, the point is to make a character with a distinct personality. It has little to do with your RL sexuality, it's your character, and if you don't want to see it then you don't have too. 3 same sex romances for each gender is a little over the top if they don't atleast make one of the bi.
I also don't see how let say a DLC of a new NPC that happends to be gay would be aimed towards a limited consumer base. Just that the romance option is limited towards the same gender. Or make the NPC bi and everyone will be happy.
And for the record, DLC that just adds new weapons and equipment is totaly unintersting for me. Sure if it's free, or if the DLC add something of substance like quests or new characters then i don't complain that i get some new toys to play with. But i will never ever pay a single cent for just a new gun.

Disgruntled, people seem to be forgetting that Mass Effect isn't a game solely for homosexuals.
Cautiously, I'm playing with fire here, but last time I checked homosexuals were a minority compared to heterosexuals, so surely it makes more sense to please the majority and thus, more sales, than to please the minority.
Disappointed sigh, or maybe I'm just throwing more fuel on the fire..
Great goddess, I guess they need to take out the straight romances as well.

DLC romances and more missions in general, to me would be a lot more interesting then armor and weapons. It would add more depth to the game universe.
Fact.

Some people seem to miss out on the fact that Mass Effect isn't some choose-your-own-romance story set in outer space. I'd hate to see any game development studio being forced to alter THEIR vision of THEIR video games because such and such community wants content specific to their wants and desires. Seriously I'd rather have no romance options in Mass Effect if this is what it's going to amount to. Next you know people with foot fetishes are gonna demand more ankle shots of the main characters. Can't see who's shooting at you? Too bad, just look at Miranda's boot!
The folks at Bioware sure did listen to the Tali fans and Garrus fans though. We just want fairness and would love the dlc. It's not like any of the ones who don't want it in the game have to download it.

This is what you get, when you push the game for the console kiddies.

Choice in an RPG? Heaven forbid.
Wait, is ME2 even classed as an RPG anymore?

There is a limit to choice. I'm sure that there are plenty of incestuous people or people that are into bestiality that feel left out as well, however, Bioware can't please everyone.

Fifity years ago we’d be having this discussion about ethnicity, a hundred years ago it’d be about gender. It’s a damn shame, but I honestly believe that one day we’ll transcend these petty complications and everyone will be free and able to fully immerse themselves in quality role play games regardless of what they are or how they look.

I guess a f/f or m/m romance is too hard compared to the 6 romances for the m/f group.

To be fair to all of those that fought so hard for sex and and race equality, the inability to have sex with whomever or whatever you want in a video game is hardly discrimination or really anywhere close to being similar.Grand Rider wrote...
My opinion is that these features should have been implemented from the get-go (Mass Effect 1). It saddens me that in this day and age the greater majority of society and by extension mainstream media can’t acknowledge that homosexuals exist and are as deserving of the same rights and privileges as anyone else.

Well then, take out ALL the m/f romances then.

It doesn't matter how hard it is. The point is, they bend for one group then they have to bend for another. Everyone wants something and every group feels entitled. This is the game they wanted to make. Take it or leave it.Wakara Pezi wrote...
