Choice in an RPG? Heaven forbid.
Wait, is ME2 even classed as an RPG anymore?
There is a limit to choice. I'm sure that there are plenty of incestuous people or people that are into bestiality that feel left out as well, however, Bioware can't please everyone.
Limit to choice... LOL
I guess a f/f or m/m romance is too hard compared to the 6 romances for the m/f group.
Bend for one group... LOL.
I say they need to take out ALL the m/f romances then... if ya don't want to bend for one group that is.

Except they didn't bend for any group. They made the game they wanted to make. Bending for a group would be changing the game they wanted to make to appease said group.Wakara Pezi wrote...

Rather than sticking FemShep in the closet, they should have allowed her to continue being herself, and allowed the same possibilities for MaleShep. Hell... The way he and Jacob already come on to each other... You'll know what I mean when you see the "fraternization" convo.

I'm

They did... the m/f group. It's not changing the game to have f/f or m/m romance. Besides the romance option is choice remember?

Apparently they felt putting development into a tali/garrus romance was more beneficial than possibly replacing one of those romance options with a gay/animal/incest one just to make a few more people feel less discriminated.Kirika69 wrote...

Political correctness has already ruined enough things. I'm sick of every movie, game, and television show feeling like they have to include a positive black, hispanic, asian, female, etc. figure in the cast. Now apparently equality has to go beyond ending physical discrimination and extend to everyone that has certain preferences for things? Give me a break.

An F/F or M/M romance doesn't necessarily replace an existing romance though. A same sex romance option is also a straight romance option at the same time usually. It's merely applying a broader spectrum, not inventing an alien race to romance.
Again, it's not political correctness in this case. It's following through on what was established in ME1. People are mad because they expected it. But no one is forcing this content down your throat. If you don't want your character to romance someone of the same sex, just choose not to. And does same sex romance options take something away from you? I believe they only add to the game.
I'm not sure I'll ever understand the vehement opposition.

Then don't buy it and stay the F*** away from here.
I really don't mind a gay/lesbian DLC, neither completely for, or against it. I think BioWare had a reason for not including cast members that are (to our knowledge) attracted to the same gender, but anyone can speculate that.
Well said, im kinda same way but little more to the no side!
If it was a big enough deal, ME would have it. They have it in other games and frankly I think it takes away from those games at times. Its that 500lbs elephant in the room that others trying to ignore but never seem to be able to.
I think games better off with out cause its a political issue and those have no place in games imo. When the 2 sides have battled it out and homosexuality is ok worldwide (modern world of course), then include it. Till then, leave the politics to those paid to play them. Has no real place and offers no real value to the games themselves.
Probably not what the homosexuals want to hear so brand me a homophobe and move on if it makes you feel safe in your pretend little world. Seems to be the instant answer on these forums.

My only opposition is to the constant whining of people feeling like they didn't get their way. If Bioware wants to make a game about transsexual midget necrophiliacs, then so be it, but don't whine about it because the transsexual midget isn't black.Kirika69 wrote...

Most of the opposition is from people who don't think it's a big deal that, when BioWare decides to make a big, heavily marketed, mainstream game that a lot of people are going to buy, they decide they're not going to include a gay option even though they've done it for their less mainstream games before (e.g. Mass Effect).Kirika69 wrote...

Like it or not, there are going to be more people choosing the tali or garrus relationship options than there would be choosing a gay one. There was whining from gays that were upset about there being a f/f relationship in Mass Effect 1 but no m/m. Mass Effect 2 still remains unchanged in that regard last I checked.octoberfire wrote...

That's their crutch, aye. Gay marriage would be Pandora's Box. Once it's opened all kinds of horrible evils will be unleashed into the world. Men will be raping women in dark alleys. Children will be molested. World Wars will erupt. Atomic bombs. Oh my!Anthropophobic wrote...
I like how the majority of the people on the opposite side of this issue like to compare homosexuals to necrophiliacs and the like. These are the same sort of people who, when debating gay marriage, would say, "What's next? Polygamous marriages? Incestuous marriages? Zoophilic marriages?"
Wait...didn't all of that already happen?

It takes away time from something not as useless to be added. If it wasn't important enough to be in the game. There's enough romances in the game....Weapons, armor, and missions are more important.
New weapons and armor are useless in a single player game; a same sex romance DLC would actually add more to the experience. Plus, it could come with new weapons and armor.
Then we, those who don't want this kind of stuff, wouldn't get these weapons. I guess you guys could get a big fat **** that shoots out **** on other guys, and for you gals a big, stretched ***** that shoots ****** discharge all over other women for weapons. That sounds nice.
I'm joking. Seriously though, I wanna see the responses to this
