Things didn`t change in any way to any character on the list, everyone of them is either in the game or DLC, so it`s most highly possible that Kasumi is a DLC. I don`t really like this outsourcing but if there is only another Asari romance, I hope she is at least romancable for FemSheps.

I don't think a "Gay & Lesbian" DLC should be released.In a rational world there would be no reason not to, but given the current progress of humanity on this front, as a commercial enterprise Bioware should not release an addon with the explicit intent of providing more romance diversity in ME2.If ******-sexual romances are to exist at all then it should be in the core game, where it can largely go unnoticed when not publicized.

Also, I'm going to assume we are all fans of the Mass Effect universe as it was presented in ME1. In it, the Asari are arguably the most advanced of the living species, at least as far as reasoning and wisdom is concerned. They are a mono-gendered race of females that at one point began to interact with other sentient species and decided not to discriminate the males of those species. They are so as a culture bi-sexual, this of course not implying that all Asari feel the same degree of affinity for both genders, but that they are equally acceptable.

This is made simpler for Asari since they can naturally procreate with any species/gender, however any technologically advanced society will have a plethora of options for how they choose to create new life, so they are left with the need for emotional attachments, which puts bisexuals in advantage since they have a much larger pool of people to choose from.

We're not much different. Already there are progresses being made on the creation of female sperm which will make female-female reproduction a reality in the not too distant future. Male eggs will follow, and who knows what else.
In this context of complete sexual freedom, it is entirely possible for one gender to become extinct due the effects of same-sex reproduction. And if lesbians are greater in number than gays and bi-sexuality is ever-increasing, then perhaps future humanity will look quite similar to the fictional Asari race.

It'd be weird if she was Asari, it's a human name.

No, Kasumi wasn't Miranda. Miranda and Jacob aren't on these lists because they are your first automatic party members.

If you read the actual article, and look closely at the cutout, you'll know both Miranda and Jacob aren't in the list... because they were in the selected party at the time of making this picture.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of Kasumi in DLC

Oops, my bad, sorry. Don't get the wrong idea I would LOVE to see a new female squadmate, I am very excited, but I just didn't wanna have my hopes crushed, like with the whole F/F thing...

That reply is a bit moronic really, if that was the case it shouldn't have asked whether you want it or not, it should have said "say yes if you want gay/lesbian dlc". If you ask a question instead, you're saying feel free to say yes or no.

But on topic, I am for this dlc, I probably wouldn't buy it, but I think it's a shame the option to choose wasn't included in the game. I am not craving making a homosexual character, but I think in a game where you can do so many things with your character, good and bad, it's a shame you can't choose to pursue homosexual relationships just as easily as straight ones. Big reason why i think dragon age did a better job with companion relationships.

Though it's been said there would be no F/F love interests, it is also said 'there will be surprises'. What if Kasumi would be an Asari?

Fitting to the discussion: I think that if Kasumi is an Asari and becomes an LI in future DLC, it would make many people supporting DLC featuring non-gender-based LI's happy.

Won't this up the age rating for people who don't have it at 18 already? That could be a problem I remember when Oblivion got given a higher rating because someone made a naked mod. I know its no-where near that but its a consideration. Also given the fact Microsoft would rather die and associate with a DLC soley for this basis I would imagine.

What decade are you living in that when you don't recognise that different countries have different attitudes and customs not my in particular but remember the Singapore incident with the first game "romance" or not. Its very hard to be sympathetic for you sometimes I swear.

As long as the dating sim is still an immersive rpg shooter hybrid experience told with the same level of skill as bioware always has, they can call it a pork chop for all I care... I just want a romance option that I can actually relate to.

lol i think wanting gay romances in ME has more to do with being touched than being an alcoholic, people are free to do as they choose, but Im for nature, homosexuality, cloning, same sex reproduction, its an afront to nature, and any attempt to change that which is and was before us, will not go unpunished, not by nature.
