Agreed.

Disagreed, spend ten seconds on the board and you could figure that out.

What does that have to do with anything? I've been a member of the Bio boards since '06. I would say take your ten seconds and shove it, but you'd probably like that. I'd rather spend my money on new equipment and missions over a romance option I'll never use.

Then don't spend the money on it idiot. Or do you have a compulsive disorder that make's you incapable of reading things before you buy it?

Oh, and being a member of these boards since 06 and not knowing how important the romances are make you a braindead moron. Can you read? I bet your mother reads the posts for you so you can be bigoted and not have to learn anything, go back to J*** O** to the pictures of lynchings you have on your other tab.

Did you bother reading my first post in this thread, you filthy c***rag? Of course not. You'll always be a victim in your mind. Do the world a favor and stand on a busy highway. ,;,, Image IPB ,,;,

ah
yes.. *applauds* very great argument from someone who votes for a niche
DLC, to tell everyone who doesn´t need it to stfu. Really.. that´s what
i call tolerance lol.

@topic - mainly because of persons like ERJAK i don´t want such DLC. Otherwise it wouldn´t bother me, even if i don´t need it.

I
wasn't arguing, he, like you, is needlessly  trolling a board for no
reason other then to anger people who desire this content. People like
you are the reason why I am so mad all the time, all you see is me
attacking a "brother" and you move in. You don't see how inappropriate
and unnecessary his comment was. So F*** you too!

How's that for an argument.[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/kissing.png[/smilie]

So
the very moment he disagrees with your opinion, he's a troll? He's not
angering anyone, he's just stating his opinion. The OP asked who would want to see it, and he simply answered the question. I don't see you attacking a "brother," I see you being irrational here.

Don't like, don't buy it. I didn't buy the second Mass Effect DLC because I wasn't interested. That's what choice means.

This fine man has wonderful advice. Listening to him would be a good idea.

No, again you don't understand, making a post like that on a topic for people who have been harmed in some way by the development, or are personally invested in seeing entirely optional content is a troll. He's obviously angering people as this is a topic for people who want to see the inclusion of entirely optional content. He wouldn't say that on a board about having more secondary planets for the Hammerhead. Just here.

Take the other advice you gave, which I wholeheartedly believe in, and take it to it's natural conclusion. Don't like, Don't buy, Don't try to get it taken away from people who want it. He's a troll because there was no reason for him to come here and say that.

If he wanted to start another topic about it fine, but this is not for that.

And we have a WINNER! Give the man a prize. Really people, romances are part of the game. If you don't want romances, I recommend Gears of War. Excellent shooter action, no romances, no choices, no (good) story, nothing but action. A BioWare game is more than that (Gears of War is a good game by the way), and romances are a pillar of their game designs.

I wouldn't fork out 5-7 dollars for a 15 second cut-scene and some fluff dialogue which involved a same sex individual that had zero bearing on plot. For those of you who do want it, more power to you, but to me that seems like an extraordinary waste of cash.

Then again, I wouldn’t care if Mass Effect didn’t have any romances at all… so… maybe I’ll just back out of this thread slowly.

Sure for the 10% that like gay romance.
If I was Bioware I would rather tap into the other 90% of the market.

Face it, there isn't a big enough market for this type of stuff.
Had it been, you'd already see gay romance in ME 2.

Then why has it been an option in other Bioware titles? I figure you're probably talking about the same-sex bit as DLC, so the market is a bigger deciding factor there, but if Bioware is clearly comfortable with giving us those options, and they know that some players enjoy being able to take advantage of those choices, it just seems odd that all the sudden that option isn't there.

I think these threads are happening because people were expecting, based off previous Bioware titles including Mass Effect. Please don't use that tired "Asari don't have a gender". They could have shaped a "genderless" species as anything, yet they chose to make all Asari appear female. So now people are finding out that rather than make the "sides equal" by giving MaleSheps a M/M romance, they're simply not giving any same-sex romance. Those of us who are pretty tied to the gender aren't given as much "freedom" of choice in our "relationships" as we have been in previous titles.

As for the bit about being DLC, I imagine its because its definitely too late to ask for it to be added to ME2, and those of us who have wanted to have a same-sex romance with an ME1 char (MaleSheps with Garrus / FemSheps with Tali, etc) don't really want to have to wait until Mass Effect 3.

Is it a make or break issue for most people? Probably not. The amount of people who will base their purchase of the game on this issue is probably a miniscule number. However I imagine there will be droves of people who have been waiting for a couple of years, that will be utterly disappointed. Especially considering Bioware spoils possible endings and characters, but is going around locking every thread that involves spoiling who is or isn't romanceable.

That's just my take on it. I want Tali to love my FemShep, sex is not necessary.

Why would we feel trolled? If the game ships with same sex romances, GREAT! So what if we have egg on faces, just wipe it off, thank BioWare and enjoy our games.

Yeah while you at it lets they should add a hanarr, and voluvs, and elcor romance. And I always wanted a blone chick roamnace, let's add that too. And a care, we have to drive to. And let's take them on dates and add a restaurant mini-game. And let's add everyting else that caters to our own individual needs, instead of things everyone else can enjoy. Screw sacrificing for the greater good...it's all about me, damnit!

I'm going to go through your first paragraph sentence by sentence.

Really?
What gives you the impression that I don't understand? I know
what a troll is, and I can tell one when I see one. A troll angers
people for his own personal amusement. If anything, you're being
nothing more than troll-bait if he really was a troll. That is, if he was one. If he were a troll, he would be far more active, and continually provoking you.

What I don't
get is this. He's answering the OP's question. Because of that, he's a
troll? Because he has his own opinion that isn't the same as what you'd
like, he's a troll? As far as I recall, the only person he's really
"angered" is you.
The OP asked who wanted to see homosexual DLC or something like that. And he simply voiced his opinion.
Would he? Do you know what goes through his head? I doubt it.

So now Bioware is actually "harming" gay people by not including gay romance?

This thread just took a turn into the "twillight zone".....

Understand this:
It's a game not a gay right's issue.

Also the "don't like it don't buy it", sure, but one can argue that would mean they took time and effort away from creating DLC content the majority would rather see.

You had a hizzy fit over a comment that simply responded to the topic question:
He said : 'I don't" , hardly flaming or anything.

It is just you wind so tight and see this as something personal, relax it is a game.

I could just return your solution, don't like it don't buy it (ME2).

A same-sex romance adds nothing that wasn't already in Mass Effect 1. I can't fathom why you're so against it with such horrible illogical arguments.
