Collectors are the easiest faction in my opinion. They don't have Banshees, Primes and Phantoms, Headshots are really easy and the Praetorians attacks are easy to evade.

Geth are the easiest faction in my opinion. They don't have Banshees, Praetorians and Phantoms, Headshots are really easy and the Geth's slow moving flanking attacks are easy to evade. They don't have sync kills.

 

Can't get much easier than that as they are the most fun and fair faction in the game, especially with the original Turians.

Collectors are the most fun faction to fight IMO. I'd even say they have some of the least BS.

 

I'd actually give a medal to the person who designed collectors

 

Say it to those, who in bronze use rockets because they laming to kill using normal weapons or skills Praetorians...

The thing I find funny is that everyone and their dog yells at cheating geth for stun locking, cheating banshees for warp walling, cheating dragoons, phantoms etc and yet the most over powered enemy in the game, that being abominations are accepted casually.

 

Collectors are by FAR the toughest opponents on gold and below imo because they are a nightmare on objectives and rounds 8 and 9 are brutal.  Now, this is not to say that with a certain group they become much easier.  A full biotic squad can do a number on them and having one good sniper on the team makes a huge difference.

Poor map and spawn design does not necessitate that Geth are not fun. Therefore, it cannot be proven that geth are not the most fun faction.

One could argue that marauders are a better pseudo-sync kill unit with their ability to stagger then shoot and execute you within the same timeframe, denying all attempts to use either ops pack or medigel. Therefore, since there is less opportunity to fight the sneakier marauder, the pyro is a lesser threat.

You bring up an interesting point. Are we considering the factional balance of each faction or simply how they play on certain difficulties?

They make wave 3 targets during plat solos tolerable and for that I am forever gracious. lol brutes

While they are the easiest group on platinum, I'd say that on gold, where the game is more balanced, Geth are the easiest of that difficulty.

 

Now we just opened a new can of worms. What's teh easiest for silver and bronze? There it certainly cannot be collectors considering the nature of scions and praetorians with their extreme damage potential and relative abundance.

I actually enjoy fighting Collectors on Plat more so than gold only because less troopers/captains, and wave 3 targets is awesome (brutes ftw!). Not to mention farming abominations to whittle down the wave budget is always fun cause I try to get a decap with guns that only have a chance to. Also if I'm rolling a kit with a ton of piercing, praetorians go down like a sack of bricks.

The only thing to hate about Collectors are Ninja Praetorians. How are those big bastards so sneaky?

This and seeker plagues are the only things keeping the collectors away from being my favourite faction to play against. I used to hate collectors with a passion at first, then after learning all their little tricks, they're a piece of cake.

 

I do understand people who dislike collectors though, collectors punish harder than any other faction for not knowing the faction's mechanics.

Sounds to me like you play off host a lot, and with laggy hosts. I know what you're referring to, and it pretty much doesn't happen without lag in my experience.

I remember one of the devs (Eric IIRC) saying that collectors had the highest extraction rate (and thus are "easiest") on silver. Go figure.
