I really wish people wouldn't always bring up this picture when they want to say something negative about the DA2 elf design. Yes, I agree it's not a particularly nice picture and she's not the best designed elf, but she's also in mid sentence which can do wacky things to anyone's face.

There were strange looking elves, like Orana and the ones around Kirkwall, but there also well designed ones like the party members, Orsino, Lia and even Athenril and Marethari. 

 

Plenty of other elves to choose from.

 

 

 

 

Also easier to manage. They're all women on a battlefield. You ever try fighting with hair down to you hips?

 

 

If Isabela can fight without pants, my Inquisitor can charge into battle with flowing locks.

Mmm. And with Bioware loving to harp on about "but resources" in response to pretty much anything, realistic flowing long hair is something I am happy to sacrifice for something else.

Erm, no. It's not the same thing.

 

How would not having pants hold Isabela back?

 

Hair gets in your face, it goes everywhere, in your eyes, in your mouth and yes, enemies can use it their advantage to grab at you.

 

And yes, you can tie it back, but short hair is still a lot easier to manage, especially in a state where you would not be able to maintain/care for it constantly.

 

Worst Isabela has to worry about is taking an arrow in the crotch.

it's the Hazer's sword from DA2 x3 i really hope that we won't use the same weapons that Hawke and his companions had. most of their weapons looked really tacky and out of place. I prefer DAO weapons since they were well...simple, eh

Don't like this, he looks ugly.

 

He looks even worse from the front... Or I mean Profile. There was that trailer where we get to see the side of his face. I'm not too concerned with how ugly he is, with a name like "Iron Bull" I wasn't expecting a pretty boy, but hopefully our Qunari can turn out a bit more... light on the hideous.

Weapon aside, I actually like his broken English (Henceforth called Common since... That's what English is called in every fantasy world) it gives him some authenticity as a character... Or more accurately could give him more authenticity. I can't make that call until I hear him speak it. Really, how many people do you know speak immaculate English(Common) anyway? I consider myself in the upper echelon in terms of precision for those who speak the language (A low bar to be sure nowadays) but personal mannerisms always find their way into speech.

 

After all, organic speech doesn't really have an editing process. You don't want dialog coming out seeming artificial right?
