Looks cool and all, but Sera remains my favourite so far. He sounds super serious though and I usually end up liking that. I don't know. are we getting bios, even if only a very, very short one, next week?

Erm, no. It's not the same thing.
How would not having pants hold Isabela back?
Hair gets in your face, it goes everywhere, in your eyes, in your mouth and yes, enemies can use it their advantage to grab at you.
And yes, you can tie it back, but short hair is still a lot easier to manage, especially in a state where you would not be able to maintain/care for it constantly.
Worst Isabela has to worry about is taking an arrow in the crotch.
Going into battle without even the basic protection of pants is not realistic either. Iron Bull's ugly "sword" is not realistic in the slightest. All the spikes Bioware likes to put on armor are awfully unpractical and not realistic. Warriors can now function as a battering ram and break open doors, and a blow of their sword on the ground creates a freaking crater. Combat realism is low on Bioware's list of priorities, and I don't see why shoulder-length hair would then be the unforgivable thing that broke the realism of the game.

He probably has some seriousness to him, i mean he likely doesn't have alot of time left.. However the concept art with him laughing in the tavern kinda makes me think he's not all business.

The thing is that art made me think of him as someone, I don't know, cheery, more lighthearted... It's true that knowing you don't have much time left it's not exactly a happy thought
But, still, the quote surprised me, it makes him look like he's all about duty, almost a little Sten-ish. But, of course, a quote can't say it all about a character

I'd agree with Dutchess. I really doubt realism is the reason behind lack of lon hairs, and it wouldn't be irrealistic based on the type of gameplay they're doing (which threw realism out of the door right in the first game).
Heck, we'll be going to Orlais, home of elaborate and impossible (as well as complete umpractical) hairstyles according to Leliana, so for all we know there's a quest where you learn the art of going to war with a giant hairdo composed of bird feathers and pearls without it coming undone mid-fight.
Seriously though, I'd settle for just a long braid down the back.

Sera looks...meh.
Iron Bull and Blackie are pretty awesome though.
Would be cool if the OP would update the first post with the new pictures!

When I play as a mage, looking forward to sitting pretty behind the Great Wall of DAI: Cass, IB and Blackwall.

That's a wall of meat and metal I wouldn't try getting over.

But... the locked chests... will you ignore them and pass on all those torn pants and moth-eaten scarves?

What a neat reveal, probably my favorite yet.
He looks like such a BA Warden and just a BA, and indeed wild character. Though is it just me or does the name 'BlackWall' sound a bit code namey? Like he is a renegade in his own right and has to hide his identity from the rest of the Warden's and even the Inquisition for some sort of fear? I mean sure it could be a legitimate last name but wouldn't that be interesting?

Also easier to manage. They're all women on a battlefield. You ever try fighting with hair down to you hips?
I've actually been in fights with hair down to my butt..
Not a problem. If someone wastes time trying to pull hair, it just leaves their wrist exposed. That's a real advantage. Only thing to consider is that a few strands might be lost if they catch in an equipment joint or something. (edit: Even then, they tend to break away, not pull at the root, unless you're maybe big on conditioner. But there wouldn't be much of that in a medieval setting.) There's quite a few warrior cultures that typically boasted long hair.
I understand it's a technical investment, but I look forward to seeing it in DA at some point. A lot of my characters of both genders would have some long, beautiful hair. I use it in the games that let me. It's so uncommon in games that I always appreciate it when it's there. Sera's first hair design was so awesome.

Perhaps they strive to not be tempted by the greedy glint of gold (or copper, they both glint fine). If so they have better self control than I.

I like the armour design: there's some real shape to it. It looks solid and cylindrical.

It's sort of funny to me they're defending Isabela pantslessness, but Isabela has much longer hair than anything available in the two CCs. Sure, the bandana would theoretically keep it out of her face (except she's got bits hanging out the front that prevent that) and it's just completely loose in the back. Isabela has the exact hair everyone's railing against.

So, Blackwall appears to be the duty-bound, diligent type. And he is beefy. And he got a sexy beard. Oh, the things I could do to sexy, bearded, serious, tough guys. Me thinks I will have a lot of fun. Oh wait, did I say this out loud?

It's kind of how their flesh didn't melt in DA:O when they were set on fire, or how their bones weren't crushed when in the maw of a dragon, or how merely being thrown by an ogre didn't kill them by turning their internal organs into paste.
People are fragile as hell. RPGs exist solely by making people basically indestructible by IRL standards. Upping their offence just matches how the defence is always upped.

I hope he's not a LI. I don't mind if there are many LIs, but he looks too old to date relative to my age of course. I don't have interest in dating my dad, even in a game. I wouldn't mind him being a mentor type though.

Let's put it this way, he cannot possibly be less cheery than the last companion Bioware gave us with a limited amount of time left. Personally he strikes me as the Ser Davos type, extremely honorable and moral, but with a good enough sense of humor to have some fun in a brothel with a pirate buddy now and then. Probably why I keep picturing him with a scottish accent.

The pantslessness mainly bothered me because Isabela's curvy enough that a thigh is gap is unlikely if she were real and chub rub on the beach is no joke. Other than that, the only protection pants add to her outfit is social convention, which we all know she cares so much about.
